Echowhisker raced after Foxstripe, before heading in his own direction, but not too far. He scented the air, and then stalked forwards in a hunter's crouch, after scenting, and seeing the small vole. He launched straight at it, slamming his paw onto it's skull, making a crunching sound, and completely crushing the poor creature's skull.

Firelily padded after Foxstripe, her paws lightly grazing the ground. Her tail held just above the ground, so she was barely making a sound. Veering from the group just a bit, she picked up the smell of shrew, a few tail lengths in front of her. Immediately dropping into a hunters crouch, and padded slowly but surely towards it. When she thought she was close enough she pounced, yet missed by a whisker. Reaching out her paw, she managed to snag the fleeing shrew, and deliver the killing bite. It was a sloppy kill, but still, a kill. Hunting had never been her strong suit anyway.

Coyotefur padded along, trying not to let his fur snag on branches as that would make a noise. He kept his ears and eyes sharp

Fernstar took a deep breath. Once the hunting patrol came back she would hold the ceremony. She had decided who her deputy would be, and she'd also decided on mentors for her apprentices. The leader jumped up onto the highledge and sat down, curling her tail around her paws and waiting patiently for the patrol to return.


Threeleg pulled out their stock of daisy. There were only very little in the pile, so they would need more. "I think we need more daisy leaves." He meowed, looking at Snakemint.


Juniperfrost watched Coyotefur go to join the patrol. "Bye Coyotefur!" She called after him before a new voice made her turn around. Seeing Bramblewhisker, she smiled. "Oh, hi Bramblewhisker!" The warrior mewed cheerfully as she looked at the tom. "Who do you think the deputy will be? I tried getting Coyotefur's opinion but he didn't know." With a gasp, she looked at Bramblewhisker. "It could be you!" She beamed, poking him gently in the chest with a paw.


Sparrowpaw followed Foxstripe out of camp before lifting his head to look at her. "I think the deputy ceremony is today," he mewed. "Which means I'm getting a mentor." He smiled before sniffing the air. The young tom had been hunting lots of times, and learned the basics by literally just watching the warriors do it. He caught the scent of squirrel so swivelled his head to look in the direction of the smell. The red furred creature was sat at the base of a tree, nibbling a nut. Sparrowpaw got into the hunter's crouch and began to follow it. As he neared, he felt and heard a twig beneath him snap, which startled his target. The squirrel dropped the nut and bolted up the tree, out of sight among the blooming branches. "Fox dung!" The apprentice spat, returning to the patrol empty pawed.


Aquilo dipped his head. "Thanks, and alright." He mewed before picking up his mouse, turning and bounding away into the bushes, looking back only when she was out of sight. He was surprised she hadn't ripped his ears off. The grey tabby padded away before slowing. The tom settled down in the roots of an oak tree opposite a broken cobble path, biting into his meal with satisfaction.

Coyotefur saw a mouse scuffling in the leaves up ahead and went into a crouch. He pounced on the mouse and killed it with a bite.

The young Tom yawned as he lay beside the warriors den, energy slowly seeping into his body. He felt bad for getting defensive at Sparrowpaw, and wanted to apologise for him snapping at his friend, but he decided fresh kill was more important, even if he was that angry with himself.

Deerpaw sighed, and spotted Snakemint sitting as if a Clan meeting should happen. Maybe I'll get my mentor! she thought, racing up to sit by the medicine cat.

Ivyclaw finished his part of the hare, and padded silently up to Snakemint and Deerpaw. There must be a Clan meeting coming. he thought.


Fuzzy II Escaped Kittypet II Forest II She-cat II Tags: Open

Fuzzy curled up in the abandoned fox den, covering her nose neatly with her tail. She heard leaves rustle, and she looked out hopefully. She was almost four moons old, yet she was still hoping for someone to come by and find her. She stepped into the forest, and opened her jaws. "Is anybody out there?" she called.

Foxstripe saw Sparrowpaw trying his best. "Aww, you almost got that prey," She began speaking to all the cats in the patrol. "Alright, we got enough prey, let's head back." She led the other cats back to camp, redigging up the mouse and carrying it along with the other cats' prey. She placed her mouse in the pile, and saw Fernstar on the high-rock, preparing to start the ceremony. She sat down, her pale green eyes glittering with excitement.
