Splashpelt waved his tail one last time to get his patrols attention and then headed out of camp keeping a low trot looking back he saw Moonwhisper with a slight limp and slowed his pace just a bit then turned back to the task at hand.

Otterfang followed Splashpelt with a small yawn she had been out on moonhigh patrol and wasn't quite ready for the dawn patrol. But oh well it was nice to be doing something. A little ways from camp she scented a thrush and looked over at the Grey deputy wondering if it would be okay to hunt.

Brackenpaw hopped around her mentor excitedly. "Where are we hunting?" She asked Silverclaw seeing as be was the only warrior on the hunting patrol. He would have to decide where to hunt. She hoped to get some battle training in today too

Thistlepaw chest puffed out excited for his warrior ceremony. His paws tingling he hoped he was doing his family proud. Looking up at his mentor he just wished the patrols ba k soon

Moonwhisper sighed and sped up a little, muttering " it's only a a a bit hurt , w why can't you j j j just walk Moonwhisper " she got into a rhythm where she could walk at normal speed , she soon caught up with the others

Splashpelt once again noticed that the she-cat had fallen behind and even though she was with them now he decided to slow down a bit more. Trying not to make it too painfully obvious. Pauseing after a few more paces noticeing Otterfang scenting the air. This gave him an idea. Raiseing his tail he signaled his patrol to halt. "There is plenty of daylight and none of us have eaten. If you would like to hunt quickly it would be fine." He said eyeing Moonwhisper again wondering what was wrong with her paw

Otterfang nodded go Splashpelt and instantly slipped away after the thrush scent.

Moonwhisper sighed and looked around , scenting the air , she hungrily leapt at a small mouse I the corner , she blinked a few times and shook out her paw and munched down on the mouse slowly , so as not to appear greedy
