Journeyman Ferondir of Mira ~ West Faren Woods ~ Day 7, 7:06

Ferondir frowned.
Shia clearly didn't want to continue on the subject of her mother.
It was an issue she hadn't yet solved.
He slid down and sat against the tree.
Now wasn't the time to help her figure it out. She'd ask for his help when and if she needed it.
"I read all the stories I know. Except for very few, which our elder would tell. I never really wanted to be the hero. Sure, they saved Hyrule, but at what personal cost? I always felt sorry for them."
Now that he was basically one of those heroes, what did that mean for him? Should he keep going, risking death, and everything he loves? If this Bordix threat was real, then he had no choice. Fight and risk death or loss, or stand back and guarantee it.
"I guess I just don't want to be one of those heroes who die at the end."

Zeph sat, closed and stoic, on the forest ground, flashes of cognizance evoking as each second passed.
Captures of the previous events awakening in his mind.
Nothing much.you probably killed Sapphire too!hostility?indecently ignoring problemsFerondir! This isn't real.Everyone's dying!Vector Arrows! We're not in Kansas!Zephyrus! Something isn't right! You would never do something like that! It's not your fault!
It's not your fault!
It's not your fault!
It's not your fault!
H-hey...you...okay? Cassie asked, having apparently retained all of her memories.
(I'M NOT OOOOKAYYYY)
She's safe. She's alive, again. It wasn't real. It didn't happen. it did happen. It happened. It didn't happen.
Zeph remained in his position, head hung, facing the ground.
He stared blankly at the ground several moments longer.
Image
That doesn't matter.... He said, starting at a barely audible whisper.
He looked up, grim and disappointed, towards Cassie.
He need to see her, he needed to see she wasn't....afraid?
Are you okay? Is everyone else....? He questioned solemnly.
Zeph could hear Ferondir and Shia some distance away.
Good. At least they're fine.
He gained at least slight comfort from knowing that they were remotely unhurt.
Though he had no idea how displeased that undynamic duo might be.

Sapphire saw them start off, and thought for a moment. What good am I doing here... what good it's it to me... what would Amethyst expect of me... oh, I miss her... She got up, and followed with a blank expression of pain on her face.

One of those "click to grow" things, click a few, if you can. At least the eggs, that way I can get more, since there is a 4-egg limit.

Shiallia - Faron Woods - Everyone

Shia started following Veneficus, clearly unhappy with the thought of seeing Ferondir die again. "I don't want that, either. We should get going. Lanayaru isn't getting any closer, and the sooner we get there, the sooner we get to sleep. It's been a long day."
Please be patient with me, I'm super lazy and super forgetful. If it's my turn in a roleplay, feel free to pm me, I probably forgot. Heck you know what you can pm me anytime tbh I love getting pms.

Journeyman Ferondir of Mira ~ West Faren Woods ~ Day 7, 7:07

Ferondir heartily agreed, but maybe for different reasons. "It has."
Looks like they were on the move.

Zeph still looked awful, so Ferondir went to him.
"Zephyrus, it's going to be okay. Come on."
He took his friend's arm, and guided him to follow the others, who, on Veneficus's lead, were now starting to move.
Zeph's aura song was... strange as always, but the discordant notes that had always been there were making a song of their own now.
What did that mean?
Was his soul becoming two?
Nevermind that. It's nothing. Ferondir thought.

Della Collern/13/Colorblind/Where: With the others/Who: Guzore

Della yawned, then sat up. "Hm? What do you need?" She asked Guzore quietly. She didn't really remember the dream. She might later, but for now, she was still sleepy. "What were we doing again?"

Day 7 (Evening)/Guzore/20/Where: Faron Woods/With: Della

Guzore smiled with a sigh of relief upon realizing that Della was fine. She didn't even seem the least bit phased from what had just happened. Guzore realized that he probably shouldn't be either, considering that it was just a dream.
Oh, we're just about to go on our way to Lanayaru City. I think we're leaving now.
Guzore got up and followed Veneficus with the others.

...
Day 7 (Late Evening)/Veneficus/156/Where: Lanayaru City/With: Everyone
A while after they set off, there began to be less oak trees and more pine trees in the forest. The grassy and muddy soil soon became dry and covered with pine needles. Eventually, they reached the edge of the forest. The few pine trees that were left came to an abrupt stop as the dry soil began to be covered with patches of sand from the desert. In the distance, a sandstone brick structure in the shape of a hexagon sat atop the sand with miles of desert beyond it. Beyond the many miles of desert behind the hexagonal structure were a range of faraway purple hills. Veneficus pointed at them.
You see those purple mountains in the distance? That is where the Bordix tribe resides. Their dark magic corrupts the very soul that they live on, with a desert seperating us from their territory.
Guzore raised his hand.
Uh, hey Mr. Veneficus! What's with that hexagon thing out there?
That would be Lanayaru City. The people who live there built their city walls in that shape to shield them from sandstorms. On the inside, there are six bridges connected at the center with smaller bridges connecting them. The whole city's suspended above the sand about 10-20 feet, actually. Those people don't like getting their feet dirty, hohoho!
Guzore wondered why a bunch of people who didn't like dirty feet built their city in a desert, but before he could ask another question, Veneficus had begun walking again and leading the group towards the city. It wasn't long before they arrived at the entrance. There were two guards dressed in white pants with red and blue line patterns on them. They wore white cloth hats wrapped around their heads and had identical red beards on their faces. One of them spoke.
Ah, if it isn't the one and only Veneficus! How are you, my friend?
Oh, pretty swell! How about you, Larus?
Well, our city's been rolling in the deep sandstorm that's been sweeping the desert lately, but other than that, things are going well.
Larus looked at the group of people behind Veneficus.
Er... hello... Are you all with him?
Veneficus looked back at the group.
Oh, these are the eight warriors told to me by a prophecy 80 years ago who are the key to saving Hyrule from total destruction!
The guard was silent for a moment, but then laughed.
Haha! I've never met someone like you before, Veneficus! Come on in.
The guard pulled a lever, and the gate to the city opened. After the group walked in, Larus closed the gate. He suddenly remembered something and turned around.
Oh, Veneficus! Rumor has it that there's a Bordix hiding in this town, so be careful!
Everyone was too far away to hear him though. The group walked up a large set of stairs and looked around at the town. There were indeed six main bridges with smaller bridges connecting them, and every building that rose out of the sand was high above the sand with the bridges.

Della Collern/13/Colorblind/With: Guzore and the others/Where: Outside Lanayru City

Della stuck mostly near Guzore and Ferondir throughout the journey. She was still tired, yawning and trudging her way along, only half listening to Venificus. She made a note to talk to him later. If he was so good at Magic perhaps he could help her with her potions sometime...

Cassie sat there waiting for a response. He just continued to stare at the ground, not saying a word. He must be thinking things over. It's most certainly a lot to take in. He just sat there. Almost lifeless, like every part of his being had just disappeared. There was nothing left of the lively person that she had met before. "That doesn't matter...." he had said. It was to hard to hear, but Cassie heard what he said. "Are you okay? Is everyone else....?" He asked, slowly bringing his head up to look at her. They were now staring face to face. Cassie could now clearly see that there was something wrong. There was something about his eyes. The only thing Cassie saw in them was sadness and despair. Darkness covered over them in a dim gaze. "Zephyrus... of course it matters." She sat there and he continued to stare at her. He didn't say another word, and he probably wasn't going to, but she needed him to. She needed him to say something else. "I think everyone else is okay, but I'm not until I know how you are." He said nothing. Cassie wanted to make sure he was okay. Something was still wrong, and she wanted to help fix it. They stared at each other for a little while longer until Cassie noticed everyone else started heading back on the path. Cassie then stood up next to him. "Well come on. We should probably follow them. I don't think we want to get lost in the woods." She held her hand out to help him stand up. Physically and mentally.

Zeph, who was still mulling over his own thoughts, accompanied by Cassie, was still sitting on the forest floor.
Well come on. We should probably follow them. I don't think we want to get lost in the woods. Cassie said, supportively, not-so-discreetly trying to reach out to Zeph.
He took her hand, distrait.
Zeph stood up with Cassie's assistance, absentmindedly finding his footing.
Stop it. Stop it. It wasn't real. He scolded himself.
Cassie...cares? She doesn't even remember me how could she care? He questioned, puzzled by Cassie's ability to empathize.
Zeph noticed her frown as she looked expectantly towards the boy.
Something inside him warped as he inspected her demeanor, causing him to feel emotions.
He looked down, exhaling slightly and moving hair out of his face.
Zeph looked up, smiling charmingly with a spring back in his step.
Hey, I'm fine, I'm good. He assured Cassie, though not quite believing himself.
Heh. You know what they say: "It's dangerous to go alone.", so we should probably... you know, rejoin the others. He smirked dopily, swiveling around and holding out his hand to Cassie.
However, before Cassie could take his hand, Ferondir sauntered up to them, taking Zeph's arm and pulling him ahead with the rest of the group.
Zephyrus, it's going to be okay. Come on. Ferondir said, in an attempted soft, yet slightly demanding, tone. Zeph blinked when he said "Zephyrus".
Heyo, well, hey, I-I'm fine. Actually, yeah. I'm good. But, just out of curiosity, how much of the- dream- do you remember?
