"Good." He wanted to tell her that what she saw wasn't real, that they were in no danger, but he still had a vague fear himself, and this forest wasn't the safest way to travel. So, instead, he replied, "I'll do my best, I have no intention of dying."
He walked over to Cassie and Zeph.
Both were very distraught, but physically unharmed.
He looked around.
Della still had yet to wake. Guzore sat beside her.
He joined them, and held his palm over her for a moment.
Her aura sounded fine, singing much quieter then it should be, but singing all the same.
"She'll be okay. Just give her a second." He swept off to check on Drimeathor.
The young man was waking up and looking around, disoriented.
After seeing that everyone would recover, He went to Veneficus. "Master?"

Veneficus turned to the voice behind him.

Ferondir hesitated, trying to put it into words. "Why don't I remember what happened?" He looked around at Shia. "I can see that the others all have vivid memories, but all I have is a vague pain."

Day 7 (Evening)/Veneficus/156/Where: Faron Woods/With: Everyone


Veneficus put his hand on the chin of his mask.
Well, it was a dream. Some people remember dreams better than others.
Veneficus pulled out a map from his cloak and a green arrow hovered over the location of the group.
Hm, looks like we're pretty close to Lanayaru City, a nice desert town just outside of Faron Woods! We should go stay the night there and head the rest of the way to Death Mountain in the morning.
Veneficus pulled out a compass and began walking north, gesturing for the others to follow.

"I guess." Ferondir nodded, not entirely convinced.

"Yeah, we could probably make it there before nightfall."
Ferondir went back to Shia.
She still seemed terrified, but she was holding herself together.
"Everyone's going to be fine, I just checked on them. We're going to stay the night in Lanayaru. Have you ever been there?"

Shia laughed, though it wasn't a happy sound. "This is the first time I've gone farther than a mile or two from Arbor Harbor." The dream was still fresh in her mind, but it was starting to seem far away. "I... I'm really glad it wasn't real."

Ferondir grinned halfheartedly. "Me too." He didn't remember it, but whatever his friends had seen... haunted them.
From what Shia said, he assumed it was a blood bath. "This is quite an adventure for you, isn't it?"

Shia smiled, nodding silently. I'm not sure if it's a good adventure or a bad one, but it's certainly an adventure. She closed her eyes, feeling a little safer. I've made friends, so I think it's been good. "I'm guessing it has been for you, too." She chuckled softly. "You don't really seem like someone who would go on a lot of adventures."

Ferondir nodded. "I do travel between towns, but I've got nothing on Jacob. He looks like he's seen everything." He leaned against a tree. "I've always stuck to the path already tested by many. Less fun? Maybe. Safer? Absolutely."
Shia looked calmer. At least her aura's song sounded more orderly. Less discordant.
"But now... I can say I've gone into a ghost's resting place, back in time, fought pirates. It's like we're just as those heroes in the books. Like the knights of the old Skyloft. Fighting darkness. Beating back the night." At some point, he must have turned away from her, because he looked back at her now. "You've heard the stories?"

Shia smiled sadly. "Yeah, some of them." Old memories came to her. They made her happy, but sad at the same time. "I remember hearing them, though most of the stories themselves are hard to recall." Her smile faded. "My mom used to tell them to me." She looked away. This isn't important, it has nothing to do with anything.
