She said with a faint smile "Things will get better" She promised trying to make him feel better

Lilypaw yawned and woke, eyes heavy with sleep. She opened her mouth to say good morning to Oakfeather but clamped it shut when she realised she was gone. The medicine cat apprentice padded out of the den. The sky was pale and a line of creamy light made it look like spilled milk. The fae sat down, taking a deep breath. Today they would find out if Oakfeather was alive, and if Lilypaw was going to become the LeafClan medicine cat.

Shadowcast tried not to look hurt, so he just looked away. He couldn't blame the kit for feeling upset. When his stepmother had been killed, all Shadowcast wanted to do was scream and run away. Run forever, far off into a land only real to his imagination. Where nothing would die, and his loved ones would still be there. The tom shook his head gently, careful not to wake his mate.

Oceanroar yawned as dawn light filtered into the warrior's den. She looked across at Duststorm, who was sleeping peacefully. The blue grey she cat didn't want to wake him, and so stepped gently over his body and tiptoed out the den. The fae sat outside, basking in the cool light and grooming her ruffled fur.

Duststorm dreamed. He was racing through the woods with Rowan at his side. The forest was flushed with prey, everywhere they went there was some kind of little creature jumping and running off. The prey was plump and slow, easy to catch. He ate beside Rowan and they raced through the woods alongside each other, pelts brushing like they had moons ago. Suddenly the sky grew dark and a churning river soon formed beneath Rowan's paws, sweeping her off her paws and carrying her away with the current. Duststorm let out a yowl and raced down the river to grab her paw, but the river grew into a mossy surface and Duststorm looked to find himself curled up in his nest.

The tom's eyes flung open. He was lying in his nest in the warrior's den, alone. Rowan was gone, the prey was gone and the dark sky had turned into a milky light. Grumbling, the warrior got to his paws and shook his fur, banishing bits of bracken, moss and other debris. Duststorm left the den, knowing he would be grumpy with everyone now after the dream he'd just experienced. He walked past Oceanroar without even looking at her, and took a skinny squirrel from the freshkill pile. The tom bent his head to took a bite but just looking at it made him want to vomit. With a shake of his head, he pushed it aside and just sat there, staring at his paws.

Minnowpaw blinked open her eyes and squinted at the pale light that bathed the apprentice's den in slight warmth. With a yawn, the young silver tabby got to her paws and shook her fur before leaving the den, looking around for Reedstar. She glanced across at Lilypaw, who looked extremely nervous. Of course! Minnowpaw suddenly realised. Today is when we search for Oakfeather...

Whitekit was confused at all of the sounds around him, but he kept silent. After all, the tiny kit was exhausted. Curling up next to his sisters, he fell asleep.

Arthur watched her leave before his housefolk came through. He said something before opening the fridge and taking something out. Arthur jumped off the fridge and followed him back through to the living room.

Tiger looked at her before she left. He glanced back at the forest before jumping from the fence, landing on the soft grass of his yard. He trotted down the grass and slipped through the open window and into the conservatory, which was empty. He padded into the living room, thinking over what May had said.

Brightkit turned his body to face Felicity and Jadeheart, but more focused on the other kit. Brightkit seemed to calm down a bit more, but still having the feeling of loss. I guess you're right. He muttered quietly, trotting over to the two she-cats. But when I become an apprentice I will avenge my brother's death. He announced proudly.

She smiled "You go ahead and try, but owls can even take even the strongest cats you know?" She warned "So you gotta be careful"

The orange tom awoke and stretched with a yawn. He padded out of the warriors den, sitting down cleaning his face (Open)

Reedstar slipped out of her warn den, making her way to the medicine cats den. "Lillypaw. I need to speak to You. I'm, afraid it isn't good news..."

Spottedpaw nudged Minnowpaw, trying to smile. "It's fine, common. Let's find our mentors, I mean. Minnowpaw, you realize you could be assessed for your warrior ceremony any day!"

She looked at the kits. "Please you two. Go back to the nursery. Felicity your father is trying to help you and he had missed you. I need to talk to the leader." She said with a heavy heart spotting the leader.

She sighed "I'm fine now..." She meowed "Can't I just just play out here? The nursery is small..." She comlained

He looked around at everyone who was out, he saw the leader head over to the medicine cat den, Jadeheart with Felcity and Brightkit telling them to go inside. 'Wonder whats bothering Jadeheart?' He thought to himself 'She looks flustered and worried, with a mix of depression' He thought as he stretched once more
