Seeing the person take off, he unslung his bow, running after them. "King's Ranger!" He yelled. That was pretty much universal for "Stop or I'll put an arrow through you."

Diana ducked behind a tree, breathing hard. Tanner came up and nuzzled her hand. Oh please don't shoot me. She prayed. This was NOT how it was supposed to have gone.

He saw the person duck behind a tree. He came up right next to them, his bow ready with an arrow nocked.

Diana peeked her head around the tree, only to come face to face with Alex. "Oh! Um, hi?"

Torrence || 23 years old || Apprentice: Riley
It was several weeks later that Torrence knocked on Riley's door early in the morning. "Wake up sleepy head." He called, putting own some coffee to brew. "We've got a long way to go today!"

Waking up slowly, Riley dragged a hand over his face, rolling out of bed and landing on the floor with a thud. Ow. Huffing, he hauled himself up and out into the kitchen, his senses fully wakening as the smell of coffee reached him. "Where are we going?" He asked curiously.

He swore, using some awfully colorful language. After a moment of just standing there, he turned around. "Don't ever do that again. Next time I won't hesitate to shoot if I think you're in danger." With that he walked away.

Torrence grinned, "You'll see. We have to go to town to borrow a horse from the Baron first."

Diana stared after him. "Danger?" she echoed softly.

"A horse?" Riley looked curious. He'd never really been near one, except the time he'd been arrested. And when he'd been hit by the carriage. Currently, he didn't seem very fond of the animals. "We can't just walk there?" He asked, a slight reluctance showing in his tone.

Torrence snorted, "Want to walk almost a hundred miles son?" he asked, pouring two cups of coffee.
