personality;; Despite his deafness, Rocket is a very happy and outgoing pup. He loves to run and play, and is always speeding around, hence the name Rocket. He's a bit shy with other dogs and prefers the attention of humans, especially kids. He's a pretty quick learner, though this has lead to a bit of a troublesome streak, he thinks he can get away with everyone if he makes those puppy dog eyes.
how will you cateer to their needs;; Rocket goes to the vet once a month to keep on his hearing and to make sure there aren't any more problems with his lack of pigment. Over the summer we make sure he has sunblock on whenever he's outside, and we generally keep him in a more confined area or on leash as he can't hear danger.

I have decided to judge each pup, one at a time, so here we go.

personality;; Puzzle is a sweet little guy, he loves to snuggle on the couch with you, chase tennis balls, and give kisses. His favorite thing to do is go visit the dog park that is in his neighborhood, his best friend goes there everyday and they love to roughhouse together. After the nipping fiesta is over, he will take the short walk home and curl up in his little bed. Puzzle is a joy to be around, his soft fluffy fur is so inviting, everyone wants to snuggle with him.
how will you cater to their needs;; Puzzle has a vet come to his home every week to check on his tail, and make sure that the infection didn't spread, and that the tail is healing properly. This isn't as stressful as visiting a vet clinic every week, and Puzzle has become to know the vet as a friend. The regular health checks will slowly end once it is ensured that he is healthy.
Puzzle's Relationship withFrosted Forest's Baltic Huskies All the dog's at Frosted Forest love little Puzzle. During practice Puzzle is usually in the middle of the team, with Disney right along his side. Disney and Puzzle are best friends, and typically do everything together. They love to snuggle on the couch, chase tennis balls, play tug-o-war with the rope toys, and most of all, they love dog sledding. Puzzle and Disney's relationship is special, and while he is friends with all of the other dogs, (with the exception of Breeze, they don't like each other). When Puzzle was just a pup, the lead dog Reggie, took him under his wing. Reggie taught Puzzle everything he knows, and Puzzle gained confidence in leaps and bounds.
Does Puzzle's Tail Effect Him While Racing? Puzzle's tail actually helps him while racing, he can be in a large team, and not have to worry about his tail being stepped on, or it bothering another dog.

personality;; Luke doesn't let anything stop him. He is peppy and adventurous like any other dog. He is the sweetest puppy, and loves attention. He doesn't care, or know about his deafness. He loves wrestling and ruff play see what I did there? He is extremely intelligent, and knows many tricks, and loves showing off.
how will you cateer to their needs;; Luke is the only dog who gets the treatment of an indoor dog. He is more of a companion dog then a working dog. He stays inside so that he can't escape, because he wouldn't be able to hear cars, or the other dogs. He plays in the fenced in backyards with the other dogs.

personality;; Vasht is a very quiet dog, who tends to lay in the corner of the yard with Pompeii watching Doctor and his sister play. He is extremely focused and drives and is best fitted for a lead dog position.
how will you cateer to their needs;; We always put Vasht next to either his sister, Doctor or Pompeii, all of whom know about his eye and how to help him be useful while not being able to see well out of that eye. They give him little vocal cues as to what is going on on his blind side, as well as watch out for him even when they aren't pulling the sled.

His Relation With the other dogs at Silver Vale View Kennels: Vasht and Pompeii are good friends, because neither of them feels the need for playing all the time or even a lot of interaction in a friendship. Just being near each other is enough for them.

Vasht sees Doctor as kind of an Uncle, you know the one. The one that's always happy go lucky and acts like they're younger than you? Yea, that one. He still loved Doctor, and trusts him to help him when their pulling the sled, but they aren't nearly as close as Vasht and Pompeii are.

]Vasht pawed at the door, begging to be let inside. I set aside the pasta I was preparing and opened the door for him to come in. Pompeii raised his head to see who it was, then returned to watching Doctor and Rose play a game of tag in the snow. "To crazy out there for you Vasht?" I asked, tossing him a bit of pasta, which he snapped up immediately. He turned to walk toward his bed near the window, but had aimed himself so the he wouldn't see the table leg, due to his bad eye, and would run straight into it. Before I could do anything, Pompeii barked a short, warning bark and Vasht stopped cold. Pompeii padded over and approached Vasht's blind side, bent touching his flank until Vasht has changed course enough to be able to find his bed without fitting a table leg. I smiled down at my dogs as Pompeii gave a little puff and Vasht headed toward his bed to curl up for a nap. "Good boy." I said, feeding Pompeii a bit of pasta. "Good boy."


[b]Story For Both:
I was very nervous as I harness us Vasht. This was his first race, even if it was just a friendly one. Ha. 'Friendly'. A cocky young man had sauntered up to my door step and challenged me to a race, saying that his team was faster than my collection of mutilated mutt would ever be. I seamy jaw angrily, tightening the last buckle on Vasht's harness. Mutilated mutts. I'd show him. I crouched in front of my team for a moment, checking the harnesses. Vasht on the front, Pompeii on his blind side. Then rose right behind Vasht and Doctor behind Pompeii. This arrangement worked the best, with Rose and Doctor providing most of the energy and pull, and Vasht and Pompeii making ay small decisions that needed made and keeping the sled on track.

"Okay guys. " I told then, "Just pretend that this is a practice. Except there is another sled team that needs to stay behind us. Ready boys?" I still said boys when addressing my team, and Rose didn't mind. All four dogs sent up an excited bark, Rose jumping up excitedly and doctor's tail wagging so fast it was a blur.

"That's your team?" I turned to see the you man we were racing, staring dissnlelivingly at my team. "A puppy, a half blind puppy, a rescue and one really sled dog?" I wanted to judo flip that man right then and there. The only thing stopping me? I didn't know how to judo flip someone. A shame really.

"This is my team." I assured him, my voice tight with anger. "Four champion sled dogs who can work together as a team, counter acting each other weaknesses and playing off each other's strong points. Unlike your team of clones over there." I gestured toward his team. Six pure white Huskies, all with neon nails, the mark of a clone. The man shrugged.

"Doesn't matter. They'll never be faster than my team." He said, smiling condescendingly. I clenched me fists to prevent my self from punching him in the face.

"Just get on your sled." I growled. "Want to prove your dogs are faster? Fine. Lets get started." I climbed onto my sled and he did the same. A friend of his eyeballed wether we were about even at the starting line, and nodded with satisfaction.

"On your marks." He called, "Get set!" He paused, "Go!"

Both teams took off, the stranger's team taking the lead. I forced myself to calm down. There was enough race left to catch up in. "Mush!" I called and all four dogs increased their speed. The stranger was focused on the track and calling one of his dogs attention back that he didn't notice us until it was too late. We wisked by him, the race more than half over. The man gave a started cry, and shouted at his dogs to go faster, but it was no use. Rose, Vasht, Pompeii and Doctor had found their stride and could have run for miles at this pace. Thankfully, we now only had several hundred yards left.

I forced myself to focus on my dogs, not on the shouting behind us, but it was difficult. How close was he? Was he gaining? Stop it! Focus. A few hundred feet now. Closing, closing... We shot through the ribbon, Pompeii biting it in two as we dashed by.

I got off and began fawning over my dogs, "Good job boys!! You showed 'em! Whose my good boys??" I fondled their ears as they all barked happily, barely even tired from the race.

I turned to my competitor as he slowed his team to a stop near by, his face beet red. I was afraid that he would be angry, but when he came over, he only said, "I...I guess I was wrong about you and your team. They can really fly. I wish I had dogs like that."

I smiled at him and pulled out a business card and handed it to him. "That's their main breeder." I said as he examined the card. "Go take a look. Theres even a rescue event going on right now, if you think you can handle it."

The man shook his head violently. "No ma'am. Not for me. I'll look into purchasing some though." We chatter a little more, letting the dogs cool off from their run before he left. "Well boys." I said to my dogs, beginning to un harness them, "That was a race worth running."

Not only do you make beautiful adopts, and are a wonderful, kind person, you have the patience eo not only do this little mini-event kind of thing, you're running an event all on your own!!! I am so amazed at what you do for this community, that I just wanted to say, thank you. This will always hold and be true with no hard feelings, even if Rose and Vasht go home with someone else. I know that you will place them in the best home for each.
