Deadly Nadders are intelligent, loyal, and friendly dragons. They use magnesium
blasts as well as fling spikes from their tails as defense/attack mechanisms.

Taming Entry; I took Rose out to stretch her wings and for a few flights around the island. When we landed we where in a place i had never seen. It was a giant waterfall! I walked over a stuck my hand through it, nothing behind it? I jumped through. It was like a paradise under a mountain! It had grass, flowers, steam pools, plants, and much more! Rose loved it! We thought we would keep this as our little secret but then we heard something. Then i saw something. It looked like a deadly nadder tail sticking from behind a bush. Then it came out. It was a deadly nadder! I had to squint to look at her because she shone like luminous lights. I loved her color! She was green, yellow, light blue, and had one stripe down the middle of her body! I wanted this dragon so badly. I told Rose to go fish while i kept an eye on the dragon. After a few moments rose came back with a net of fish. I sorted it out into baskets and made a trail. She followed the trail and i thought i wasn't going to be caught, i was dead wrong. The nadder found me behind a rock. She hissed and shot some spines. I got my shield out as quick as i could and defended. I tried to calm her but she turned and flew to a different part of the springs. I tossed a fish, the nadder ate it. I did that for a few times before i went and sat by a spring pool. I stuck my feet in and threw a few rocks. Then i saw a nadder shadow, it was not Rose, but it was the other nadder! She dropped a huge stone in the pool and got me all wet. She dragon-laughed and walked away. I sighed and went to my bag and grabbed my towel. I dried and walked to check out more of the springs. I walked around while Rose slept. Then i heard footsteps behind me. I turned to see the deadly nadder following me around. I rolled my eyes at her and kept walking. Then she picked me up and carried my to a spring pool, then she dropped me in and i felt burned all over! She was a very rude nadder and i bet i could train her, but i needed to tame her! I got out and grabbed my towel again and dried. Then i went and set mutton all over the place in a weird trail. She followed the trail and came into the cave i was in. She shot some spines at me and grunted. I turned and looked at her with evil eyes. She turned away and ran. How was i going to tame this dragon? Then i had it! I could cage her and bring her out of the springs then tame her with my eel circle! That is what i was going to do! I made a chicken trail to a cage. Then BLAM, she was trapped! She hissed and squawked and banged the walls of the cage. I had Rose and Hiccups help to carry the cage back to Berk. I made my eel ring and battled the dragon for a while. Then i reached my hand and a moment later, i felt her scales. I decided to name her Luminous or Lumi for short! She and Rose ran around and played for a bit before i fed them both dinner and put them in their stalls. "Goodnight Rose and Lumi" i said smiling at the two dragons.

Taming Entry; One of the disadvantages to not having my own dragon is that I can't go flying unless somebody else let's me borrow their dragon. Generally speaking, that never goes well, seeing as dragons have a strong bond with their riders. I've gotten injuries from being kicked off a dragon before, after all. However, I've finally came up with another way to check out the surrounding islands. Sailing!
I've made sure to borrow a boat that would be good for carrying a dragon, seeing as that's the whole reason I'm going sailing. When I finally spot an island, I can see that the parts I can see from where I am seem to be made almost entirely of rocks. That might rule out some dragon types, but not all of them. Now excited, I manage to get the boat close enough to shore so that I can actually get on the island.
However, when I arrive on shore, I'm taken by surprise by the sound I hear. I've heard it at the stables, and the dragon making it should definitely not be here. Why on earth would a Deadly Nadder be here? Quickly, I hurry in the direction that it came from, and what I stumble upon is shocking. A beautiful Deadly Nadder is laying on the ground, and she turns her head to look at me as I approach. She makes a half-hearted roar to try and scare me off, but I don't listen to it. The problem is her right leg, which seems to have dried blood on it, and her wing. Slowly, I approach, and she swings her tail at me.
I jump back. "Easy girl, easy! I'm here to help!"
I'm going to need fish for this. I hurry back to the shore and - going as fast as I can, in case other dragons see her and decide she's easy prey - after a little bit, return with some fish. I toss one to her, and while she's eating, kneel down beside her. I scratch the side of her neck a little, which seems to calm her down a little, but she watches me warily as I shuffle over to her wing. I watch her gaze also slip to the fish occasionally, before returning to me. I feel her wing, and her tail moves a little bit as she cries out in pain.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry." I apologize, and slowly move over to her injured legs. I glance over at the fish, and notice one is missing, but the Nadder acts as if nothing happened. "Do you like the fish?"
She turns her head away, although her eyes do glance at them again before looking at me. Chuckling to myself, I pull a cloth from my satchel and hurry back to the water. Once it's wet, I come back, and see that yet another fish is gone. That leaves one left.
"I think you do enjoy the fish." Once again, the Nadder turns its head as if in disagreement.
Kneeling by the leg, I begin to wipe the dried blood off. Once that's done, I look at the wounds themselves. They have stopped bleeding, which is good. However, I'm not sure if she can walk again yet. Glancing up, I catch the Nadder eating the last fish, and I laugh at her widened eyes as she spits the other half out.
"Okay girl, you're going to need to try and get up." I encourage, and slowly she pulls herself to her feet, although she does seem to be a bit unbalanced. "I think you'll be fine though, once you give yourself some time to heal up in your home."
I turn to go back to my ship, only to get stopped as the Nadder steps in front of me. The noise she makes sounds almost sad, as if she doesn't want me to go.
"Girl...?" I tilt my head. "I can't stay. I have to go."
I move around her towards the boat, and as I board, find that she has followed me. My eyes widen, and suddenly it dawns on me. I wanted to tame a dragon. Did I?
"You want to come to, girl?" The sound she makes when I ask tells me yes. "Then we'll have to give you a proper name. How about Whisper?"
