it's the first book in the circle series. there are four books in the series: black, red, white, green. it's called the circle series for a reason - you can either start with black or green, but imo you should always start with black.
i read this series when i was about ten, but it was too dark for me and i didn't understand it very well so i stopped in the beginning of green (after reading black, red, and white), and now it's so weird to read it now because i keep remembering stuff a bit at a time as i'm reading it, and i think, "ohhhh yeah; this is what happens!" or "aaaa i remember this!!"
it's like a weird nostalgic feeling bc i really got into the books and then just dropped them.
anyways, i really like the series and 10/10 would recommend it. ted dekker is a phenomenal author.

oh yeah, and i'm also reading the last olympian by rick riordan. ♥

Currently reading the 6th book to the "Mortal Instruments" series, Heavenly Fire. I've loved the whole series so far but wow this book is monster (725 pages)! Is anyone else or has anyone else read this series or has anyone seen the show "Shadowhunters" (based off the books) or the movie 'Mortal Instruments' ??

Currently reading the 6th book to the "Mortal Instruments" series, Heavenly Fire. I've loved the whole series so far but wow this book is monster (725 pages)! Is anyone else or has anyone else read this series or has anyone seen the show "Shadowhunters" (based off the books) or the movie 'Mortal Instruments' ??

I just finished reading that book like a week ago. I am also watching the series and I have seen the movie. The 6th book in the series was my all time favorite. I like the show better then the movie.

Noicee ;3 just watched the most recent episode, I enjoy the show and the movie because I can compare them to the books. Al though the books are my favorite. I'm kind of disappointed Valentine is bald on the show.. like WAHT.. I'm excited to see what Sebastian looks like.

I was mad when I saw that Valentine was bald. I hope Sebastian actually has white hair. I think the Alec in the show is more like Jace than himself with all of the thing he says.
