"Y-yes, Hermione" Neville stopped flailing about when he notice the stream of water that put out the flames. He pulled his chair closer to the table and sat down again, grabbing the new textbook and straightening it out in front of him. He listened intently to what she was saying to Ron and nodded. "De-pul-SO" He had said with too much emphasis on the last part. The text book spun and slid right off the table, hitting the wall with a smack. At least this time it hadn't caught fire.

Harry nodded as Hermione explained and showed them how to do it. "DePULso textbook" He said as he retraced the movement that Hermione had done merely seconds ago. Finally, the book made its way, in an orderly fashion, to Professor Flitwick's desk. With a sigh of relief, Harry leaned back in his chair and set his wand down. As he looked over to Ron, who seemed to be struggling, he was hit in the back of the the head. "Hey, what the-" Just as Harry turned around to see who had caused the textbook to hit him, when a bunch of other textbooks slammed right into his face. Harry put his hand up to his nose which was now numb "D-don't worry about it" He said as he began to check if it was broken, but it seemed fine.

Many of them seemed to be having just as much difficulty as Eira. She listened in to what Hermione was saying to Ron and Harry. Taking little notes in her head, she looked down at her textbook with a serious expression. She concentrated "DePULso textbook" She said as she attempted once more to repeat the motion of her wrist. The book whipped around like a frisbee and nearly hit many of the students. "Ah, SORRY!" She apologized when she jumped out of her chair. "My hand is too stiff... I need to relax" She mumbled under her breath, taking more notes of how to improve. "Okay, okay. I've got it this time for sure!" Eira said, trying to stay positive. She gave the text book a glare before clearing her throat. "DePULso textbook!" She said. Finally the textbook made it's move more accurately. It was right at the edge of the Professor's desk, barely managing to stay on. "That counts, right?"

Snape noticed Agnes raise her hand and took note that she was a Ravenclaw. "No one?" He asked sarcastically. "Pity." His voice was cold and harsh. "To make such an advanced potion, it is necessary to have red wine, prune juice, hairy fungus, tortoise shell, caterpillar and bat tongue." He paused, making sure everyone was following along. "Now, you will be assigned with the task of replicating the process and testing in groups. I would hope you don't end in embarrassing failure because, if you do, I will not be providing you with new equipment." He looked around, particularly at the students whom he knew were reckless. "Do I make myself clear?" He asked slowly.

Aaron looked to Agnes who had quickly raised her hand. He'd had Snape as a potion's teacher for many years. He knew Snape would never allow another house to answer his questions, they were mainly meant for the Slytherins so that they could get points. After all, he was head of Slytherin. 'Partners, huh?' he looked around. He would rather be with anyone but a Slytherin. Aaron raised his hand quietly. "Clearwater" Snape said, almost in a "what do you want" tone. "Will you be putting us into groups?" He asked, not surprised with the attitude. "It may have escaped your notice, but I do recall having a class in which you and a couple of your Gryffindor friends used the Brackium Emendo spell to remove almost, if not, all of your friend's bones just so that I would allow you to create skelegro. His lower half was nothing but flesh. I won't have that happening again, Clearwater." Snape said with and irritant tone. Aaron couldn't help but smirk. It was pretty funny, maybe something you had to experience in order for it to be funny. With that, Snape straightened himself out. "The groups will be chosen by me" Snape announced.
