Hey guys so I decided to make a gem OC. But the thing is I have no idea which gem to use. :c (I have the looks of it but not the gem name) I'm thinking of going with moonstone but I'm not sure. :v

Any ideas for gems? c: (Feel free to PM some ideas.)

What do they look like? I'm pretty sure Moonstone is used pretty often, so it's probably not the best choice. If you tell me the color scheme, I might be able to find a good gem for you.

Fun fact~ Although its most common color is black, obsidian can also be found in light brown, brown mottled with black, and black with a beautiful golden or silvery sheen. Snowflake obsidian is dotted with white patches where parts of the rock have begun to crystallize. The most prized obsidian by gemologists is the rainbow obsidian variety with purple, green and gold bands of sheen.Obsidian is formed as lava from volcanic eruptions cools within the earth.

This may or may not help you out and also an Obsidian is called a "Black Diamond" :)



I found out this while doing some web searching- I thought it was kinda funny. All these zodiacs!

Peridot or Olivine: Gemini, Leo, Virgo, Scorpio, Sagittarius
Garnet: Leo, Virgo, Capricorn, Aquarius
Jasper: Leo
Lapis lazuli: Sagittarius
Rose Quartz: Taurus, Libra, Virgo
Ruby: Leo, Scorpio, Cancer, Sagittarius
Sardonyx: Taurus, Cancer, Aries
Sapphire: Virgo, Libra, Sagittarius,
Amethyst: Aquarius, Pisces, Virgo, Capricorn
Pearl: Cancer, Gemini

I couldn't find Rainbow quarts! But all the main gems such as Garnet are Ancient Birthstones so we might see a Onyx for Leo but Rubies and Peridots are traditonally apart of Leo.

That gives me an idea... If Garnet is a Traditonal gemstone along with Amazonite- and Peridot is a Ancient gemstone same with sapphire they may fuse to become Amazonite! ;";
