I just wish we could say the same about the wii u. Its great and all, but the games weren't like the wii. The wii had games like Super Paper Mario, Mario Kart Wii, Mario Super Sluggers and all that stuff. I bet Galaxy 1 and 2 were awesome too.
SSB4 is really fun, even better than Brawl(at least in my opinion, even though Subspace was cool ;-;) And MK8 seems cool too. I also did enjoy NSMBU more than Wii to be honest. But I miss Check Mii Out and, yes, the Weather Channel.

I've never played, but the Galaxy games are supposed to be great. I feel that the Wii U has a handful of good games, but not a great amount. Honestly, Nintendo needs to treat everyone to a new Mario title that is a whole new concept. Could go along with the NX when that is released, perhaps. I know that Nintendo is known for being very innovative, but their recent Mario releases seem to be too ordinary for my taste. It's all been done before, with the exception of Paper Jam. But still, even with Paper Jam, it's just two old concepts put into one. We all just need something new, and I'm sure it would sell.

Well, it is easier said than done. I've thought about this as well, and I can't think of any really good and long-term ideas that'll work.
Also, a game thing video(don't remember who.) showed that games sticking to the original SMB concept actually did better than the others, and that the fans think they want new concepts, when, really, they don't.

Oh I'm well aware of how difficult it can be to craft an entirely new concept. But it also somewhat feels like a necessity as they have to keep up with competitors. I feel with their new involvement in the mobile gaming industry, we could get some new concepts.
And hm. That's interesting. I don't doubt it, due to the nostalgia factor. But I don't think that means people only think they want new games. I think people actually do want new games, but the games relating to older concepts also targets older audiences who perhaps grew up with a similar game, which would result in better sales. And every game that can be considered as sticking to old SMB concepts can be deemed as such because at one point, they had to make a new game. Gotta start somewhere.
Honestly, as much as I dislike her, Nintendo could do more with Rosalina. Or female characters for that matter.

I agree that they should start releasing more games for the WiiU, it isn't the commercial flop they think it is if they'd just release game people want.
Not more bloody minecraft ports.
But innovation is hard, look at what theyve done to mario party. I personally love the new one, and not just for the bowser features (though, that helped TuT) I liked the events on each map and how the last one in particular was absolutely crazy and hard to finish.
But theres like 15 minigames and you dont get them at the end of each turn, its too easily balanced and theres nothing to unlock, 2 characters and thats it? Not even good characters. Toadette and 'spike' whoever that is.
But the amiibo mode is fine? Its like actual, better mario party again.
