younger apprentice, she ran onto the thunderpath when chasing a rabbit.
A monster hit her and she badly injured her left hind leg, giving her a
permanent limp. Fawnpaw was given treatment by Larkfeather and was
told she could never be a full warrior. Although she was heartbroken, she
asked to become Larkfeather's apprentice and was allowed. Despite the
fact she limps everywhere and has terrible stiffness in her leg in the morning,
she doesn't let it get in the way of her being a great medicine cat.

Applestorm woke up and stretched, tail curling over his back. He stood straight with a gaping yawn and scratched behind his ear before leaving the den. The deputy looked around for cats but just saw Cinderstar. The tom sat down and groomed his ruffled mackerel fur, waiting for cats to wake up.


Fawnpaw blinked open her eyes in the medicine cat den. She sat upright, letting out a hiss of pain as her injured leg refused and hit her right in the face with stiffness. Gently, she moved it around before stretching it, banishing the stiffness. The medicine cat apprentice limped out of the den, sniffing the air and sitting outside to groom her fur.

Larkfeather yawned as he stood up from his nest. He shook his head and quietly walked out of the medicine cat dem to try and find his littermates. After leaving his den he quickly saw his littermates sitting together on the other side of the clearing.

Dewpaw trotted out of the apprentice den cheerfully. "wait up Dewpaw!"Echopaw called after her with Snowpaw right behind her.

The blue-grey she-cat gazed at Sunrisewing and Cloudpelt, waiting patiently for them to train their apprentices. She felt a slight hint of amusement, and licked her paw, drawing it over her ear.

The cream tabby shifted her gaze to Cinderstar, noticing her leaders' stares. Sunrisewing remembered of Dewpaw, and rose to her paws, nudging Cloudpelt. "Come on, we're supposed to be training our apprentices!" She exclaimed. She bounded over to the apprentice's den, her tail whisking behind her. Sunrisewing padded through the entrance swiftly, her eyes searching for her apprentice. She spotted Dewpaw and nudged him,"Wake up!"
