Well.. Be prepared for the worst. After that there is ANOTHER boss but i won't spoil who. The next boss will be like a nightmare D:
Anyway, you have to be pretty fast and focus mainly on your soul. For the swipey axe thing you can see the pattern of it in his eyes, like it'll flash blue orange orange and that's the order of the color things... I tried.
