Ukraine is the oldest of the three siblings, and is constantly getting dragged into some sort of mess. She is described by her brother as being very warm-hearted and motherly, having taken care of him and Belarus when they were little. She was the one who gave Russia his scarf, which he continues to wear today. Ukraine also shows maternal tendencies to other ex-Soviets, Poland, and to characters outside her family as well.
Russia also notes that she's a bit of a cry-baby and her heart is too big, making her an easy target. She desires to make friends in the West after her independence, but it appears she's struggling.
It is later stated in volume 3 notes and her volume 4 profile that despite her cry-baby appearance, she is also a 'fearsome' older sister and can stand her ground.

sparkitek knows when to stop and when to be serious. unfortunately she never has the right words in her own opinion and tries to keep her mouth shut.
sparki will never forgive or forget when crossed. she is paranoid and if someone really does wrong her she will retreat into her own home for weeks at a time.

she started out as an irken. normal. until she bIT someone really hard and was deemed a threat cause of those pointy lil teeth of hers and the guard crying about his hand being nearly eaten by a baby. lovely right??
well she landed on earth and was found by human scientists. you know the rest. thinking that she could be a nice experiment to unleash upon the people if they got out of hand they spliced her with a malamute [ she arrived in a snowy location. it would be wise to get a weapon that won't complain that it has frostbite. ] and a caribou [ again. cold tolerance. ]. they attempted to add on to her and all she got were sharper teeth and stupidly stretchy saliva. try saying that three times fast.
well, she met with an ice "demon" [ a nightmarish failed experiment who lost their head and gained uncanny abilities. one could describe them, dubbed "bloodlust", as a demon. ] and the demon agreed to help sparki escape if they could come with. the demon died and passed on their being onto sparkitek, who took on several traits. [ long ears, second, copper-colored tail, sharp claws ]
sparki lived with an adoptive mother who decided to try to be a good samaratin. her husband left after terrorizing the family when sparki once again used her teeth. her mother dated a man with three children and sparki's attention was ripped from her in an instant. sparki eventually began developing bpd and hpd traits. when she was 14 her mother found out she was somehow non-straight [ sparki is attracted to femininity in any gender and doesn't experience sexual attraction. i think that's gyneromantic-ace? ] and trans, thanks to sparki's female crush. *sparki was kicked out right before this happened.

The France is a very interesting nation beast, being the only one with the abiltiy to speak and is noted to be quite talkative and somewhat flirtatious. Yet , as all nation beasts are, he can be very violent, such as fighting over such simplest of things and isn't one to anger greatly. He is said to like the taste of food, even though nation beasts have no need to consume food(though they still need water to survive). The France is also said to enjoy watching other's cook. The France has been known to hold grudges for ages, especially those with the Great Britain,going so for as going ballistic when he spots the nation beast. Yet , the nation beast can be calm and collected , as well as diplomatic at times.
