Pebblefang slowly sat up. "No, it's fine. I'm already up." He said to Eagleheart. He dipped his head when Flywhisker walked up.

Grumbling, Oakshade opened one eye, then abruptly closed it as light pierced it. Getting adjusted, the old Tom stretched a leg. The camp was slowly waking up, and he looked out for Amberheart and her kits. Being the only kit that survived, he gave her lots of affection. Suddenly wincing, he pulled his foreleg towards himself. His ache was back.

Amberheart yawned and sat up in the nursery. A squeak came from Mallowkit, who had been relaxing on her mother's back. Amberheart smiled softly at the two kits, as Ebonykit started a playfight with his sister. 'You two...' She began, purring. 'Come on, you need fresh air.' She led them out, then padded to Fernstar.

The medicine cat looked up from her meal and smiled at the queen and her kits. She mewed a greeting to them,"Goodmorning Amberheart!" Darkfeather looked up at Fernstar and bowed her head in greeting. "I'm assuming a clan meeting is about to take place?"

"Goodmorning Flywhisker," he laughed, stretching out his limbs. "Still though, I'm sorry for running into you Pebblefang." The white coated tom rose to his paws. "I'll see you in a little while my beautiful warriors." He padded out of the den, towards where Fernstar was looking down. "Goooodmorning Fernstar," he purred sitting himself down in front of the log. "Sleep well?"

Seeing Fernstar's greeting, he flicked his tail in a return greeting. "It seems that the clan is waking up," he thought. "I'd better get back for the meeting." The young tom rose to his paws and started back towards the clearing.

Amberheart nodded in greeting at Darkfeather 'Good morning.' She turned to her kits 'You two, go take a rabbit to Oakshade, he might share a bit with you.' The two kits nodded and raced off, towards the fresh kill pile.

Oakshade watched the kits grab a rabbit and rush over to him. He smiles a little, and nods at the two. 'You can share with me.'

An ear swiveled towards Darkfeather and he nodded his head, his eyes moving towards Amberheart and her kits. They were growing swiftly, and he was already planning ahead to their apprentice ceremonies. When he looked back towards his Clan, he seemed surprised Eaglefall was suddenly there. He hadn't seen him leave the den. He twitched an ear at his question.
"Moderately," he answered shortly. As more Clan members began to wake and exit their dens, he raised his head slightly to address them. "All cats old enough to have captured their first prey item join beneath me for a Clan meeting."

She rolled her eyes at his farewell and got to her paws, following him out. She stretched again, welcoming the free space camp offered her, then looked into the den at her sleeping brother. That furball is still asleep. She jumped when she heard Fernstar's clan meeting call and she quickly hurried over, sitting herself down anxiously. She'd have to tell him everything later. Maybe Fernstar wouldn't notice his absence.

Oakshade had just finished eating the rabbit, when Fernstar called. He stared out from the elders den, at where Fernstar was. He ushered Ebonykit and Mallowkit over to their mother, who quickly gave them a lick on the head.

The medicine cat smiled at the queen and offered her the rest of the mouse she had been eating. At the call of the leader she gathered herself up and moved a little closer to the trunk.

"That's good at least, I'm glad you slept well handsome," he mewed as he padded a little bit away to make room for other cats that wished to be closer.

He arrived in camp just as Fernstar signaled for the meeting. The tom padded over to the fallen trunk and sat down next to Eaglefall.

'Thank you.' Amberheart mewed, and finished the mouse.

"You're welcome," she whispered to the queen. Her eyes darted back to Fernstar perched, ready to give his leadership to the clan.
