The problem with them being store pets is actually just the fact that their lines will probably not get re-used ever and the chance of getting free dinosaur adoptables is pretty low now

My issue with dinosaurs as a theme is that, unfortunately, that's an
extremely hard theme to pull off for adoptables. Think about it, nobody here has seen a dinosaur in the flesh(except birds, but that's not the point). Nobody knows for sure what their colors/markings looked like and very few had enough records found to give us an accurate view of how their plumage/scales looked like, all we can do is speculate about their design. With this, I find it simply impossible to make a dinosaur pet without huge edits, not without making the pet unrecognizable as their theme. I mean, just imagine it, I could make a horse with colorful feathers for a design and call it dinosaur inspired anytime, but it would never be satisfying... It's kinda like with my
dragon themed horse litter from a while back, the designs were very abstract and pretty much nobody could tell their theme without me saying it, and even then many didn't really think they looked "dragonish".
I did try making a dinosaur pet before, which was the T-Rex. I wanted to make a cool dinosaur staff dog, but in the end it was so edited it only got accepted as a store pet, along with the other dinosaurs I made later. Maybe eventually another artist can pull this theme off without requiring edits somehow, probably with an abstract take on it, but I just wanted to point out why this theme is so hard to pull off for free adoptable litters.
