gaster sighed, but this time it was more of an agitated thing. "you do not know the feel of any of my burdens." he growled, but it sound emotionally pained more than angry.

Tobias looked down. Similar words had come from his own father before he had come here. It hurt him badly to hear it again, but fought back his emotions, "I see..." He answers quietly.

Benjamin had dragged herself back to Snowdin in search of some food. She was quite hungry... With a sigh she walked into Grillby's. The warmth felt nice after trudging through snow. She walked over to the stool and sat down to check her gold. A small hum of disappointment was heard as she discovered she didn't have enough, but Benjamin simply shrugged it off... She could go another day without food.

gaster sighed. he could see through the emotional blocks in the boy's eyes. "i am sorry. it have not had contact with any being in a long time. no one can see me. but you can, for some reason." he turned his head away for a second, then back. "i am 'dead' in the eyes of my sons and everyone else. they thought i was until they forgot me. i was pushed into the core." he explained, his vision pained. why was he explaining this to a stranger?

"Don't be, it's alright." Tobias bit his tongue to refrain saying 'I understand' yet again. He listens to what Gaster has to say before responding in a quiet tone, "Oh... I'm sorry to hear that, I wish I could help..." He whispers. He truly did. He wanted to help Gaster and if there was a way, he'd do what he could to say the least. He sighed before thinking of something, "You're Gaster... Right?" He suddenly asked, appearing to be a bit interested in his answer, "My sister... She has told me about you a little bit... She hears other people talk about you." He mumbles and looks up at him once more.

gaster had a puzzled look on his face. "yes, i am. i'm w.d gaster." he answered. "who is your sister? and how does she know about me?" he asked.

"Her name is Benjamin." Tobias answered, "She said she's encountered a few monsters that had spoken of you." He murmurs, "She also said that she had heard about the royal scientist falling into the core... She's got better explanation and view on it." He shakes his head, unable to explain what his sister had said. Her mind was pretty abstract at times. He looked towards the entryway, "She was here a while ago."

gaster looked to where he was looking. "and she saw me? what are you to, controllers of the timelines?" he asked, but it was a rhetorical question.

Tobias looks back up at Gaster, confused. What were Timelines? He couldn't help but start questioning why Benjamin understood this man more than he did, and she never even personally met the guy! "No. I...- no, we're not." He responds, "And yeah. She left though... You see.. She's uh..." He tries to put it nicely and correctly, "A bit antisocial. And thinks it's rude to interrupt people's conversation. So I'm sure that's why she had left." He didn't say anything about her being completely insecure and depressive. He figured it wasn't necessary to point out...

gaster's mind furrowed. "don't hide things from me. i can see right through your mind and soul." he said, his empty eyes...empty. "i need to see this sister of yours. she sounds smart.." he stopped himself from saying 'smarter than you'.
