Featherfern sat in the clearing, looking up at the moon. "StarClan, send me a sign..." She whispered, blinking up at the stars of Silverpelt. "Did we choose right?" Another cat padded up beside her. "What are you doing?" The asked, sitting down. "I'm looking for a message from StarClan." She sighed. The other cat blinked up at the sky. "Have they said anything?" Featherfern shook her head. "No... Perhaps that means this madness is over." The other cat's eyes glowed as they turned to look at the young medicine cat. "Not yet." They breathed, unsheathing their claws. Featherfern didn't even react before she lay dead on the ground, her dull eyes reflecting the shining stars she'd hoped would be their saving grace.

With no options left, Nightpaw is now Deputy.

NightPaw's nose was immediately hit with the smell of blood when she woke up. She quickly ran and followed the smell to see their Medicine cat, their young medicine cat, Dead. "NO! I thought we exiled, the murderer." She said her voice going faint. She started sobbing just like she had sobbed for the others. The guilt hit her that they had exiled an innocent young kit and that leading to the murderer still being alive. Why starclan.. What have we done wrong to deserve this? She thought in her head still sobbing and mourning for those she had lost in this clan.

Whitestar was in her den, hoping for a sign from starclan. Ever since she became leader Starclan hasn't gave her any dreams. Was I not meant to be leader? Am I not capable of taking care of these cats? Guilt waved over Whitestar, thinking about Mistystar. What would Mistystar do? She would've knew how to save this clan. She heard Nightpaw scream, and immediately went out to the clearing. ".....Why?..." she muttered silently as she saw Nightpaw sobbing. She gave Nightpaw some space, because Whitestar knew that she was going to be deputy now. She didn't want the pressure to go on Nightpaw so soon, so she put her tail on Nightpaws shoulder. "Its going to be alright, i know Starclan will save us like the many times they did before. We will find the murderer." she said quietly. "Nightpaw, you know what this means right? Your going to be deputy, and I'm sure I can count on you. Like the times I counted on FeatherFrost who always guarded the camp." she closed her eyes and began to grief, once more.
