Darkkit's head rose with a jolt. He hadn't slept the whole night; of course, he would need to keep his guard up and stay alert. The murderer could strike ANYWHERE! Absolutely ANYWHERE. Including the nursery. He jumped up and with a gasp he dashed over to Shellkit's limp body. "No, no no no no! Why did the murderer choose one of my littermates?! Why?!" He cried, and buried his nose into Shellkit's fur, holding his clumsy paws over his head.
