Denence stopped when he heard someone calling after him. What now? he thought. He turned and saw a girl staring at him. She looked about 15, but for some reason Denence saw her really attracting. Maybe it was that kind look in her face? Forget it Denence, she's a rogue out here! he thought. "Yes?" he called out, not daring to come closer.

Reyna cradled her elbow. After the fight, she bumped it against the trench and it sent a jolt of pain through her. That stupid plague patrol guy thought he could fight me! she thought with a smirk. She peered over the trench and horror filled her stomach. The stupid patrol guy was talking to Star! He was surely going to give away her whereabouts. Then a thought came to her. The house. She looked at the two making sure they weren't facing her, and crept into the house. She opened the door and carefully closed it. She peered around. Dusty and gross, she decided. She went to the center and pried at the boards. One came away, and she managed to pry enough to wiggle her way underneath. She then replaced them back on, making sure they could handle the weight. I just hope they don't find me, she thought.

"Excuse me, but I'm looking for someone. I'm wondering if maybe you've seen her?" Star asked, running over to meet the guy, "She's my age, brown hair, brown eyes, probably in a bad mood. She's my friend and she ran off, and I just want to make sure she's ok."
She gave the man her best innocent, doe-eyed look, hoping that he's help her out instead of shrugging her off and claiming she was trying to scam him. Most people around here probably would, but maybe she'd get lucky.

E tried to at least pretend to find Keith's joke funny, but even he wasn't capable of achieving that, and his laugh came out as more of an awkward chuckle. Now his question about how many Notes he had, now that was funny. He put his hands in his pocket and laughed at Keith's question.
"Do you think I'm going to tell you after a statement like that?" he asked, "I promise you though, I have noting worth stealing. I'm no better off than anyone else in this god-forsaken sector. If I were afraid of being robbed by you, I would have already taken off."

The fifteen year old rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly. "Hey, it was just a question." He paused for a moment. "Gah, what do you expect from slum kids?" He flashed a sly smile at the older male, but then quickly stared forward again. He was obviously not the most comfortable with being stuck with some random man. "Well, considering you haven't bolted yet, you obviously need help with something. Where you headed?" His words in his question were actually pretty aggressive, but his tone sounded more curious than anything.

Denence considered the question. He then thought back to the girl he encountered. What the girl in front of him was saying would defiantly match her. He was about to open his mouth to say yes, but then he considered something. Why would this kind girl be friends with a vicious person like the girl in the trench. He worded his answers in his mind carefully then answered, "Maybe I have, but I don't know if it's best to approach her if she's in a bad mood. Besides, why should I help you?"
