Kaoru weakly opened his eyes, staring up into the sky. Was it, a sky? He couldn't tell. He felt energy, a wonderful feeling of energy. Moving his fingers, he continued to feel it. Kaoru sat up, glancing around. Where was Rei? where was the hotel walls? Where was...everything? Kaoru wiped his face, remaining calm. He was lying on the floor, in, wherever this was. White. Thats where he was. Everywhere he looked, everywhere he turned, a white mist greeted him. Finally, he stood. Upon standing, the energy that caressed him earlier became stronger. He continued glancing around, "Rei?" He called out softly. But, he wasn't able to stay focused for the long. The pull became stronger and stronger, till it came to the point where he had to find where it was coming from. He had to follow.
He began to walk, still looking left and right, to only see 'white'. What was this. He heard a sudden crunch beneath his feet. He stopped, looking down. "What..." He muttered. He leaned down, gently touching what he had stepped upon. Asami's cards. Realizing what they were, he jumped backwards. Hitting the ground harshly, and still backing up while he faced the cards. "What the hell." He said, a bit louder. After a few moments, and once he got a grip on himself again, he stood up. "Where am I?!" He called out. He continued turning in all directions, hoping to see something, or someone. But, only the white mist answered him. With silence. "Damn it." He muttered. Kaoru sighed, deciding he would continue walking. Suddenly, he froze. Where did the cards go??? He asked mentally. He flipped around, looking in every direction. They were gone. Kaoru growled, clenching his teeth.
The boy was now running. Where, he didn't know. His only hope now was to find the energy source. It was getting stronger, that he knew. He continued running. Breathing heavily. I'm getting closer! he thought. Finally, Kaoru stopped. He could now see something in the distance. Crossed over each other, pierced in the ground, he recognized the objects. Swords. My swords. Instead of running, he cautiously approached, in shock. For so long, he had craved for his swords. For so long, they had been gone. Now, finally, he had them. Kaoru extended his hand, Touch them. He thought. His finger now only inches away from his precious weapons.
"I knew you'd come." Kaoru's body flew backwards, hitting the ground with a giant thud. He tried to get up, but noticed his body was suddenly bound in chains. "Who said that!!! Who are you!!" He shouted. No reply came, but he could hear distant laughter. Kaoru, practically tied to the ground, and unable to get up, began glancing around desperately. He saw no one, turning his head, he suddenly was met by a black shadow. He felt like shouting, but was too afraid to do anything. The shadow was looking at him, surely. But, it had no face. No body. It was, but a shadow. Kaoru felt the life within him begin to fade. He was dying.
Kaoru jerked himself awake, falling to the ground and off of the bed. He jumped up, glancing around the room. Suddenly realizing he was alive, and it was only a dream, he sighed. "god, what the hell is wrong with me lately." He said, before stretching. He glanced around the room, trying to locate Rei. He turned to see the clock on the wall, seeing as though he had been asleep for quite a while. He felt refreshed though, and much better than before. And, god forbid it, perhaps he was even in a 'good-ish' mood? "Rei?" He called out. Having searched for Rei in his dream, and not finding him, it has caused some worry. If he could see his face again, it would give him relief.
