Large wings slicing through the still dark morning, the dark copper and black female masked owl silently flew above the trees of the mountains. The bright, wide moon was still low in the sky, although the warm colored sun was just breaking over the horizon. It was dead silent morning, not a creature up with the exception of her few tribe mates from which she could hear from the cabin and throughout the forest around the house. Her speedy flight made not a single noise, and her tribe mates still were quiet after rousing and moving about at this hour. Just then, an awful sounding screech pierced her keen ears as she flew. She knew exactly who and where it was coming from, so she turned her head upwards and over to the right to see the small falcon streaking across the sky. Gwynneth narrowed her eyes at the obnoxious female, picking up her speed in seconds until she was flying twice as fast as her. She chuckled to herself, shaking her head at the falcon before diving downwards towards the ground. Tucking her wings at her sides, she took an aerodynamic shape as she plunged. She saw a flash of a human perched in a tree branch out of the corner of her eye, so she opened her wings like a parachute and stopped dead. She turned her body to face the boy who was sitting there, treading the air as she stared at him. She slowly flew up next to him and perched herself on the same branch, her talons digging into the bark. She turned her head and stared blankly at him, before opening her small beak and letting out a coo. "Morning, Jakob." She said to him, fluffing up her dark feathers.

Eighteen || Tribe Leader || Kitchen || Kyrin
The tribe leader rolled over in her soft, warm bed with a groan, not wanting to get up. But she had to, and that was because she smelled breakfast. She sat up and swung her legs over the side of her bed and yawned, flipping her long hair her shoulder. Sitting there for a second, she thought about who was making breakfast. She was grateful for who every was, anyway. She stood up, her bare feet meeting the hard wood floors before she walked over to her dresser and stared into the large mirror atop it. She stared at her tired eyes and messy hair, chuckling before rubbing her eyes and picking up her hair brush. She brushed the knots out and returned it to it's usual silky state, setting down the brush and picking up a yellow hair tie. She tied her hair up into a messy bun and looked at her outfit she slept in: comfortable cotton shorts and a too large, baggy green tee-shirt. She turned and headed for the door, but remembered she needed something else. She ran back to the foot of her bed and grabbed her white knit poncho, swinging it on her shoulder before running down the hall. Not bothering to take the stairs, she sits on the railing and slides down to the main floor, making a right and walking into the kitchen. There, she sees a beautiful breakfast made by Kyrin, her beta. Ava beams, walking around the island and looking at the yummy eggs and toast. She quickly wraps her arms around him in a hug before picking up a buttered toast and taking a big bite from it. "Wow, Ky! This is delicious." She said happily, mouth full of bread.
