Kirsten perked her ears at the distant voices, to far away to be made out properly. a smile crossed her face as she heard Cray yell in his den, 'Why are you so annoying?!' at least three times in a row. Vetani's shout always followed alogn the lines of 'Shut up and stand still!' she knew she must be trying to sheer off his longer fur. to which Cray had always hated anyone doing, and Vetani had always loved the look of it on him. she let out another laugh as Cray shouted the same thing again, this time with another crash of a falling shelf. Kristen herself had tipped his shelves enough to know what it sounded like.

Roan let out a little pleasant laugh, something he didnt do often despite his constant silent smiles. he shook his head a little bit, "Couldnt that have waited until we're off the path?" he asked, voice still rich with amusement, but filled with affection.

Lilith found herself holding Soul, sobbing into the other girl's neck. "Soul I'm sorry, I'm so, so sorry," she cried, her body shaking. Things would never be the same, even if Cray had a valid excuse for the other girl, there would always be doubt. There always had been doubt, but she wasn't sure if she could live with it anymore. "I can't, I can't take it anymore. I can't take the uncertainty of it all. Love with Cray is a gamble, and I can't help but feel like he's bluffing when I lay out my hand. I'm sorry, I'm so sorry."

Lia shook her head. "No, it couldn't wait," she said with a sweet little smile.

Roans eyes danced in response and he dipped his head to her a fraction. "Then your welcome." he said. then straitened and nodded forward, motioning for her to turn around now that she had said what apparently needed to be said. he didnt like her standing on the little path, it scared him a little that she might fall.

Vermillion bit down hard on the inside of his lip, coaxing himself not to snap at this obnoxious female. When the metallic tang of blood flooded his mouth, he turned his eyes to Kirsten and the flinty brown softened for a second. "I'm leaving now. My apologies but I can't stand her at all. Miss you." he muttered, flicking her under the chin with the tip of his tail, forcing himself not to look at Vitani as he turned to melt into the forest, his blood-crimson coat merging into tree-shadows. Vermillion was running now, his paws hard and fast against the ground, landing with muted thuds on the thick carpet of pine needles. He made himself not think, just become wild, concentrate on breathing and theracing of his heart.

Liam tied the bandage in a little bow around Aleu's arrow wound, making a little grunt, pleased with his handiwork. "So it will take a while, yes, but you will get better."

"Good to know. " Aleu murmured, rolling over onto her back. She stared at Liam's upside-down face, her own tilted. She said nothing, keeping a completely blank look. It made it impossible to catch onto any of her thoughts, impossible to catch onto any of her feelings. Aleu normally did this; Built a huge wall around herself that no teasings or little flicks of abuse from old pack members could penetrate. Though she didn't exactly want to seemingly ignore Liam, she had to somehow keep her thoughts all boxed up and caged. If she kept muttering to herself to shut up, he'd probably think she'd gone crazy.

Lia smiled and turned, padding along further as her steps were cautious still, but a bit quicker. So she hadn't had the guts to kiss him again, she'd be gutsy another time. It was kind of nice not needing to hold up her walls for once

Roan followed behind her with fluid steps, only slipping once on a little pebble, he paused, stepping back and pickingit up and tossing it down tot he water below, watching it silently and seeing the ripples come out from where it hit the water. he turned away after a moment and followed her out into the ferns at the end of the footpath, shivered once, going alogn the path always freaked him out just a little.

Lia smiled, enjoying finally having solid footing under her. "Now, let's see what there is to hunt, your stomach must be eating itself by now," she teased

Roan lifted his chiseled shoulders in a shrug, lookign around and then back to her, eyes bright and holding no forthright emotion. "maybe just a mule deer i suppose, they're small." he said finally, swiveling an ear back at a birds call then back to her. "plus theres lots in the area." he added. if they just wandered around they were bound to come across one sooner or later.

"Sounds like a plan," she said, her paws already itching to get going. Her fur was a bit damp just from the humidity around the waterfall, the droplets of moisture catching the sun and reflecting off her pleasantly feminine figure. She raised her silvery nose, trying to catch a scent.

Roan watched her a moment, then took in a little sigh and turned, bounding through the springy foliage with ease. wrinling his nose as a fern frond brushed past his nose.
