Silverfang lowered her head to lap up some water. East and West were busy tussling in the sand, but the other three pups joined her for a drink. Once they had finished drinking, Silverfang was tempted to get right to hunting. She smiled warmly as mist joined her brothers. Fine. Silverfang laid down to give her pups a little chance at some fun before the real work began. Ranger leaped into the game as well, but Truth gave his mother a questioning glance. Silverfang nodded.
"Go ahead. Have a little fun."
Truth grinned and ran to his siblings with that clumsy puppy gait that Silverfang had come to know so well.

Fall watched the pups and steadily trotted to Silverfang a low smile slid across his face not showing if he was happy nor sad he opened his mouth to speak but closed it realizing he had nothing to say

Silverfang looked up to see Fall standing beside her. Her eyes were a mix of emotions. There was rage, and sadness, a hopeless tangle of unhappiness and pain.
"They'll be ready to join you soon. Today is the day of hunting...", she spoke sadly.
All the pups were too busy playing to notice. All except one. Truth padded up to Fall with eyes that were wide with wonder.
"Father?", he asked.
(Truth's the one that died before.)

Black looked at Caleb with a smile

Caleb licked Black "it is for you and Sara if she would like" he says nuzzling Sara in a fatherly mood

Fall looks at Truth and sighs "yes" his voice showed relief inside him, although he loved the pups he couldnt possibally take them all away from Silverfang, "I shall take but one, as you are the mother" he says boldly looking at her then suddenly turning to Truth again
