He licked his paw as he settled down in the middle of the camp. He could see Shadowwing travelling down the hill from where he was. She looked so excited and nervous at the same time, Nightstripe wondered what was going on.

He heard the yowl from Icestar too. He followed Shadowwing, and sat near to her. He was checking everything was alright, and that nothing could attack the clan whilst they were gathered in one place.

She hopped over to Nightstripe and explained everything. "Icestar told me I could lead the hunt patrol, this is such an honor for me!" Then suddenly she stopped. What if I mess everything up? she asked herself. She shrugged that thought off, and set off to find Muskpaw. Suddenly, she heard a yowl from Icestar. A clan meeting! She hurried over and sat herself near the front.

The clan meeting was over. She slipped out of camp so that she could go hunting. Oh! There's a squirrel! She quietly stalked the squirrel then it ran up the tree. POw! She caught it! Content, she carried the squirrel back to camp.
