Ah, I feel you there. Long distance really is the ultimate test of patience.
Don't know what you already have tried out, but there's lots of things you can do even in distance.

The classic is, of course, calling/video-chatting, but personally I also really enjoy writing or receiving letters. Sending each other things on occasion. Can be anything. I've heard of couples sending each other shirts/sweaters before, 'specifically ones that the other has worn. I guess it can be comforting to have something that smells like the other?
Objects that have a special meaning either to your relationship or to one of you as a person? Putting together music playlists for each other?
It can also feel comfortable if you have a common hobby that you could do together, like regularly watching movies or gaming. Two friends of mine who are really close often have little "movie dates" where they just watch stuff together via a stream, they seem to enjoy it lots.

It's not the same as physical contact, but I think that especially in LDR, anything that makes you feel close to the other person is valuable. It doesn't replace the things you cannot have, but it can be soothing and remind you that no matter the distance, you're still very, very close.
Some of the best things in life are the ones you have to wait for the longest, so hold on and keep going, yes?~ There'll be a day when you can make that dream come true. It's worth it.

I feel.... Really crappy. I can't stop crying and I'm on the brink of stressful vomiting. I... Well, that is my college... My dream college... The application door closed. I had no idea it happened. And... I can't get in. I can't finish my application. I can't get the scholarships. There is literally no way for me to be admitted, or for me to afford it if I can't get this done.

I've tried to contact my adviser but... the offices are closed. I was on such a positive swing too...
