Yes, but if we only focus on the animals that are going extinct now (which are very important also) then the animals that are starting to go extinct ( wolves) will become extinct.

Are you talking about grey wolves or one of the other sub-species? Grey wolves are certainly not starting to go extinct. They're classed as least concern by the IUCN Red List. Least concern species have thriving populations with no risk of being threatened at present time.

Wolves are beautiful creatures who are so misunderstood. In a way, they are just like humans; they are very sociable. I love the way they a work together and their loyalty to their pack and mate. They are very graceful and smooth moving creatures who should not be hunted down for their pelts. Wolves' eyes are so pretty, I don't know how people can dislike them.

I am talking about the Timber wolf. And they ARE endangered. Not the Grey wolf. And yes i do agree that Grey wolves are not a concern.

A lot of those states are ones Grey Wolves haven't been in/shouldn't even be in?? And I know for a fact they aren't endangered in KY because they don't even exist there, the biggest predator they have are Black Bears

Mexican Wolves, Ethiopian Wolves, Red Wolf, and maybe a few others are the ones to actually worry about. Greys are considered LC

I think you're getting things confused. Wolves are still be reintroduced in many states outside of national parks. Many of those states listed do have very small populations, because they are introduced there to try to form a stable population. That is different than being near extinct in said states.
Also the grey wolf has never historically lived in many of those much more southern states. The red wolf has, but not grey.

I'm not on here much anymore to talk, just trade.
Willing to do FR trades.
Don't message me. I'll rarely respond to trades sent to me unless I asked for them.

As a whole, the species is least concern. People who are advocating for the hunting of wolves aren't doing it in areas where their local populations are struggling. People who take wolves in those areas are poachers, not hunters.

According to the IUCN red list, which is the main source for the status of animals, grey wolves are considered least concern.
Here's a source for you guys.
