"We always seem to get stuck with the Slytherin lot. Yet, this year won't be absolutely rubbish- I 'ave a plan for when we get a class with those snakes." He had been coming up with tons of new tricks to prank and rule the school. Ray took a large sip of his drink, and finished off the peach. "I bet we're gonna be wif those blokes in at leasth... tree of our classes." His voice was muffled due to it being full, and he swallowed before continuing. His words died in his throat, however, as he listened to Dumbledore.

"The Triwizard Tournament and the Yule Ball?" Excitement grew on his face- he could be a candidate for the Tournament and win. He could go to the Yule Ball and have great fun. "This year is going to be top!"

Draco crouched to help her pick up her things, their fingers brushing when he handed her the Potions textbook. A small chuckle escaped from his throat as he stood, helping her up. His eyes widened a bit as he noticed the tail of the dark mark sticking out from under his sleeve, and he quickly pulled it down with a hand. Juliet knew of his mark, and of the death eaters- their mothers were great friends, and they often chatted about the most recent happenings.

"We might be a bit late." He was still holding on to her hand after helping her up (friends held hands all the time, right?). He took off towards the Dining Hall, slipping in at the end of the table before Dumbledore's announcement. He glanced over to Juliet as the Yule Ball was mentioned- she would be asked by so many during that time, and Draco hoped she'd say yes to his proposal when the time comes. Yet, he had other duties to attend to.

Juliet's once pale face was now slightly tinged as their hands had brushed one another. Even when he still held her hand as he helped her to her feet. She gave a rather nervous look with her eyes, brushing a strand of her long white hair behind her ear. Which got tangled in her fingers, instantly she dropped her hand in slight embarrassment.

"Does it hurt at all?" she questioned, her voice quite faint. She had curiosity in her eyes as she watched Draco pull his sleeve down, before taking off to the Grand hall. He mustn't have heard her, but she knew better than to push. She followed after him, walking through the entrance of the grand hall, her head was held quite high as she strode towards the tables , and soon sliding into the seat across from Draco. Her back turned towards the Gryffindor.

They had arrived just before Dumbledore's announcement, which was a relief. Her chin resting in the palm of her hand, soon giving a simple smile to Draco as he glanced at her, before her blue eyes looked back up to where the professors were. Her eyes fixating onto Barty who had walked up to the podium where Dumbledore had been standing.

A square frown appeared on Logan's face as he watched Ron clean his green slimy hands in disgust. What ever the twins did was bloody brilliant. Logan watched as Draco and Juliet had walked in, his face instantly looking sour, "The princess and the prince. Both late too, they've decided to come out of the chamber of secrets. What a surprise." Logan stated plainly and completely sarcastic under his breath.

Logan's eyes were now fixated on Ray leaning in to see what he had to say about his pranks, as well as putting a bet into the picture like they always did "I bet you 5 galleons that we'll have more than jus' three classes. More like an eternity, do tell. Oy, Ray, once class starts we should look at the upcomin' events board. Maybe they'll open the dueling club again."

He noticed Evelynn, his friend from Hufflepuff move to the Ravenclaw table, which he gave a wave before she turned back to talking to Ariadne.

"I know, I had to wait for Eira. She overslept like she normally did." I replied to her, taking a seat among the other Ravenclaw's. "But, my summer was good. Rather boring though, except however I went to France and got to see some of the history for witches and wizards there." Excitement soon instantly arose on her face like a light had just turned on, beaming with a wide smile as she placed her hand onto Ari's arm, "The yule ball! Ooh, who do you recon will ask you! Lets make a bet, who ever gets asked first... wins.... uh," Evelynn pursed her lips, she had no idea what they could win if one of them won the bet, "Actually... no never mind." She said laughing to herself, she was amused by how much energy she had this morning. Which was probably because of everyone's excitement about this year. She honestly had no idea where she was going with this.

Evelynn was like a little school girl when it came to dances and boys. If it was one thing she loved it was gossiping about their crushes, or who the cutest quidditch player was. She had always fancied Fred Weasley however, among all the other boys.

While Crabbe and Goyle were among a conversation between the two, clearly nothing intelligent. His dark eyes, was resting on the two other Slytherin's who sat down at the table. Juliet and Draco, "Mornin' you two. I was expecting you to both be late, due to the collision in the hall. Quite the mess you had to pick up, were you carryin' bricks in that thing?" Blaise questioned his eyes narrowing down towards Julietta's bag. Juliet gave a smirk to his words, "Just enough bricks to hit you if I ever needed too." she replied jokingly, Crabbe and Goyle gave a snigger towards the comment as well, "Good to see you too." he replied sarcastically letting out a small chuckle, "As always, the same." she added, shaking her head slightly as she held her right hand over her chest, before laughing trying to keep a straight face.

Blaise gave a smirk, looking off towards the Icefall siblings, and their friend Zero. Immersing into a small conversation almost between the entire group around them, "So the triwizard tournament, any of you have a particular interest?" He questioned out loud, looking at everyone, as he straightened his broad shoulders giving out a large stretch.

The Grand hall had fallen silent, when Barty Crouch had stood up to the center of the golden owl podium. "Eh em, good morning students. Now as all of you may know Hogwarts is holding the Triwizard tournament. A great deal of honour that is. However, because Durmstrang, and Beauxbatons don't have enough competitors who want to partake we are allowin' each of the school houses to join the tournament. Both a male and a female." he paused, eyes scanning over all of the house tables, making sure they were still engaged with what he had to say, "Your classes will take place as scheduled, however, on some days you will have the entire day to watch and support your house, as well as normal quidditch games will not be interrupted. The tournament consists of three dangerous tasks, and I advise you not to take lightly to them. As professor Dumbledore has said, there is a age line. Those under the age of 16 are not willing to partake in the tournament, but those 16 and above are more than willing to put their names into the goblet of fire." he paused, once more, looking to each student as they whispered to each other about the triwizard tournament,

"My last and finale note, is of the Yule ball. A tradition of the triwizard tournamentheld on Christmas night from 8:00 p.m to Midnight, it is opened by the champions and their fellow partners in the Champion Waltz. When the opening ceremony of the dance is over, you are all to join in after. Now, on certain free days on your weekends you will be called down to the Grand hall by your Head of the house, in which Minerva McGonagall will be teaching each and everyone of you how to dance properly. You will be needing dress robes, so please if you don't have any as of right now make sure you write to your parents or guardians and inform them. But that is all the information I have as of right now. I will be here in the castle while the tournament is taking place being one of the judges here, followed by several professors. Once the champions are picked, I will explain to the contestants which their first task is. I am sure, Dumbledore would like to say any last words. Thank you, and have a great day."

Barty finished his long speech in a nod, placing his black cap onto his head before leaving out one of the doors disappearing from the scene.

nodding sullenly, mae agreed. "why is the english team so good recently?" after listening to tomas's offer, mae giggled rather girlishly. "well, thanks!" before she could continue, crouch began talking. the man seemed to cast a damper over the jovial excitement of the room. although the words he uttered were full of interesting news, he made it sound about as nice as it would be to give a house-elf an ear massage. shaking the thought out of her brain, mae turned to tomas. "exciting! you'll be the hufflepuff champion, right?"

filch stood at the door to the great hall, holding mrs. norris tightly to his chest. he wasn't ecstatic at the idea of a dangerous tournament. as much he despised the students, he didn't want to see them dead. if there weren't any students left, there would be nobody to reprimand! but this tournament promised extra work for him. sighing, filch took his cleaning planner out of his pocket. he started adding in the dates for the tasks and the yule ball, knowing that he'd have to increase his patrolling and cleaning ten-fold.

peeves snickered quietly. he was in the transfiguration classroom, writing obscenities on the board with anti-erasable chalk that he had stolen from fred and george earlier that morning. he awaited the end of breakfast, for he had a lovely welcome-back present for the school, the greatest he had ever planned! he had spent all summer scheming about it. the items were already in place, all that was left was for the students to fall prey to them. first, he had placed stink pellets in the gears of the moving staircases, so that when a staircase would change directions, it would shower stink pellets on any students below. next, he had replaced all the soap in the school with frog spawn soap. he had also replaced all of professor trelawney's teacups that she used in her divination lessons with nose-biting teacups. he had also set up at least two dungbombs in every classroom, all set to go off at 10:00 precisely. he had also coated a few of the hallways with a new joke item added to zonko's called silas's slipping solution, which could morph to appear exactly like what it was covering, but would truly be extremely slippery! he had put these on most corridors, quietly following filch, so that as filch cleaned, a new layer of silas's slipping solution would follow. those students better watch out!

Ariadne's face flushed as soon as she mentioned the Yule Ball. "Oh, well..I don't know.." she managed to say and gave a sheepish grin as she knew who Evelynn wanted to go with. Ari easily got embarrassed whenever someone mentioned boys or crushes. She had one, but didn't enjoy talking about who it was. Evelynn managed to brighten her mood with the "bet" and laughed. "Are you going to put your name into the goblet?" Ariadne changed the topic, growing interest in the tournament.

Tomas then grinned and said, "One of the Chasers last season got knocked off his broom by a nasty buldger and had to quit playing since he was in such bad shape." "This new guy Edmund Jarson is the new chaser and hes bloody brilliant! The Japanese team caught the snitch but, the English team was so far ahead in points from the hoops that there was no way they could catch up." Tomas was very impressed with Edmund because it was difficult enough to score one goal.
He then smiled at her and looked back at Crouch and perked up when he said what the age limit was. He was glad Mae wouldn't be able to participate. He then froze slightly when he remembered he was of age to participate in the tournament.
Once then man stopped speaking he laughed when Mae mentioned he should sign up for it. "Me? Really?" He then shook his head, "Come on there are loads of others that would be better at it than me." He then frowned realizing that they had not even mentioned what exactly they would be doing in the games. He then glanced at her, "I suppose i will throw my name in, but i doubt i would even be picked to even be in it."

ＦＲＥＤ ＆ ＧＥＯＲＧＥ - (gryffindor)

George snickered at his younger brother's comments, but was soon jabbed in the side by Fred, knowing he should pipe down as Dumbledore spoke. It was the same boring thing every year, but Fred and George didn't want to get into too much trouble. They had to be as good as possible - it might lessen the blow of punishment when it came to pulling off pranks. Fred rolled his wand up and down the table and didn't bother to stifle a yawn when it came to him. George covered his twin's mouth for him, though, as Mrs. McGonagall's piercing stare came its way to the Weasleys. Both of them sighed in relief as they noticed it was Ron getting the gaze. As Dumbledore's voice stopped, the hall burst back into noise, and Fred snapped his head to look at Ron. "I bet you aren't looking forward to the Yule ball," he said with a huge grin plastered on his face. "Yeah," George carried on. "I saw mum put those dress robes in your suitcase. You'll look bloody ridiculous." Both twins burst into laughter, obviously enjoying embarrassing their brother infront of his friends.

Ron gripped the soiled napkin in an angry manner as he watched his brothers snicker at him. Ron then turned to Harry, "One day those two will get it!" He then continued to face Harry and tried to ignore his brothers comments. Though, when they got to the bit where they said he would look ridiculous Ron rose in his seat with anger and started to get up to yell at them he felt himself being pushed back down in his seat. Instantly Fred and Georges laughter was cut short by there mouths being forcibly shut by a spell. Mrs. Mcgonagall was standing up at the staff table and looking directly at the three of them. After she gave them a stern warning she lifted the jinx off of Fred and George and sat back down and pinched the bridge of her nose in annoyance. "I can never have a bit of piece with those Weasley twins," she told Professor Trelawney.
Even though it was somewhat frowned upon to use magic on students Mcgonagall had been working there to long to even be scolded for using such simple magic on a student.

Winter/Snowy
Snowy looked over to Blaise as he asked who had an interest in the tournament.
"I don't, but then I am not old enough to enter anyway!" She smiled happily at the thought that she would not have to participate in such a deadly tournament. She rather did value her own life after all. She turned back to the food she had put on a plate and started eating it zoning out to the things around her.




Blake/Shadow
Shadow looked up from his food when Blaise said something but didn't bother replying. He'd' rather eat what he could before his hyperactive sister could drag him away from it again. Besides he could care less about the tournament he'd rather live a boring life then risk it in a deadly tournament for fame and glory. He'd rather not be the center of people's attention think you very much.


Zero
Zero had finally got the little robot to the point where it 'hopefully' wouldn't fall apart if someone so much as touch it when Blaise asked everyone at the slytherin table something. He took the notepad he had out still and wrote 'No. I do not wish to enter a deadly tournament that could cost me my life' and put it near Blaise so he could read. He went back to trying to get the robot to work. Maybe it breaking was a good thing. I'm Actually farther then Ive gotten all summerZero thought as he moved pieces around trying to get them to work right.

Blaise gave a scoff towards Blake, he never seemed to be the friendly type. Which always made it hard to talk to him. He raised his hands slightly leaning back "Hmph, it was just a question. What about you Draco? I wouldn't recommend Crabbe or Goyle. They wouldn't have enough intelligence to know the difference between a rock and tree." he stated, his eyes skimming over what Zero had wrote giving a slight nod, "Well I think I just might, Show off my skills," He replied giving a cheeky wink to both Winter and Juliet. Juliet gave a snigger to Blaise's comment, her fist over her mouth to stop her from busting out which he rolled his eyes at. Blaise's eyes lifted up looking up at Severus who sat at the professors table. "How many classes you think we have with Gryffindor?" He questioned out loud thinking of all the past times they've had class with that house, which was more than enough to drive one mad.

"So anyone have an interestin' summer? I went on holiday's to some sort of resort, full of muggles it was. But it was alrigh'. But not using any magic was by far the worst." he added.

Blaise had always been the one to start many of the conversations here at the table, due to how nice he was towards his house members.

Placing her pointer finger at her mouth she furrowed her brows, "Join the tournament? I don't think so, I dont want to be paired up to fight against Slytherin, they'd do anything to win. They'd even play violent if they wanted too. But, however I do think that Tomas is wanting to join. He lives for these kinds of things. In all honestly I think he wants to impress Mae." Evelynn noted, lowering her voice as she gave a nod over in Tomas's direction.

"It's kind of cute though don't you think? The whole idea of the Yule ball, mostly. It would be great to dress up all fancy, and well you know. Mingle with the some of the other houses. Gryffindor, has tones of cute boys in it." Her voice becoming faint as a dreamy sigh escaped her mouth. "Could you imagine goin' with the twins." she added, her face becoming red. (Did she just say that out loud?) She shook her head shaking the thought from her mind, then poked at Ariadne's shoulder, "Ari, whose he? I see him all aroun' but I've never talked to him before." She replied her hazel eyes clouding with curiosity as she pointed at a boy with dark brown hair which was puffed up and rather light and scruffy. She knew his last name was something like Hamlet... no, Hamling, Hamting, or was it Hamilton?

Ariadne hesitated before speaking up. "Oh well, I'm going to enter," she said with a small grin and scratched the back of her head. The girl playfully rolled her eyes as her friend giggled while speaking about boys. It would be nice to go to the Yule Ball with someone, Ariadne thought to herself as her gaze trailed over to the Gryffindor table. She set her eyes on Logan for a minute before quickly snapping back into reality and giving a slight chuckle as Evelynn dreamily thought about the twins. "Oh, that's Lauren," she said and shrugged her shoulders as she poked the crumpet on her plate with a fork. "He's pretty nice, I guess." Her mind was clouded with thoughts about the Ball and the tournament. Dumbledore hadn't said what they would face during the competition, and she silently hoped it wouldn't be too brutal.

"bard probably will. cervus too. but i can't see anyone else trying-" stopping suddenly, mae cocked her head. "i just heard evelynn say something about cute boys." she giggled. "i'm going to see what she's up to, if you don't mind?" mae stood, pushing her empty plate away from her. mae enjoyed evelynn's company, even though they weren't exactly friends. evelynn always had something interesting to say.

Caleb sat at the table quietly, twiddling with his thumbs. He looked across the table for someone to chat with and turned his head towards Luna Love good, who was with Rose and Ariadne, "Hullo, Luna, Rose, Ariadne." He called from across the table, "Watcha talkin' 'bout?" He chided in. He stared at Luna for a while. He hadn't realized how beautiful she looked today, he had always wondered how she felt of him. He looked away shyly and waited for an answer.

The gryffindor emerged into the Great Hall and zipped towards the Gryffindor table. She smiled and ran up to Harry and Ron, also joined by a few others, "I was just in the library, i was curious about the yule ball." She said happily. She looked around and took the small edge to sit on, next to Ron. "Did you know that yule can also be called Christmas?" She grabbed a plate and took some peas and mashed potatoes. "I hope none of you are thinking about entering the Triwizard tournament." She said, changing the subject and eyeballing Harry suspiciously.
