Pulling on his gray shirt, Milo scaled the rigging easily and sat on the railing of the crow's nest, watching the seagulls fly overhead. He bit back a yell when a huge black raven landed in front of him, cocked its head to one side, and squawked something in Bird. Where Milo came from, ravens were often signs of luck, and seeing one was supposed to be a good omen. "I suppose I should thank you bird," said Milo, leaning back on the rail and looking at it. "But the Raven god is a notorious trickster."

Ella stood up. She figured she needed a drink to wash down the taste. She went up on deck and found a bottle of rum sitting near the door of the captains quarters. She picked it up and took a swig, swishing it in her mouth, and spitting it out on port. She took another sip, but swallowed it this time.

Patric blushed slightly, unused to compliments, and sat down to eat.

Alexa smiled. She took another roll and ate it as slow as the last one.

Ingo heard a sqwauk, she hoped it was not another person struggling in the rigging. She looked up, only a raven and it looked like Milo was up there too. "Are you alright up there?" she called because Milo was sitting a bit precariously on the railing of the crows nest.

"Hmm?" said Milo, looking down at Ingo. For a moment he balanced on the edge of the crows nest, then he seemed to gracefully tumble backwards off of it. He was in free-fall for perhaps a second, then he hooked his feet carefully into the rigging and grabbed on with callused hands, ending hanging upside down with his face on a level with Ingo's. His hair flopped down away from his piercing green eyes as they looked the girl over, then he asked, "Are you new to the Maiden? I don't think I've seen you around."

She stifle a giggle as the boy tumbled out of the crows nest but then answered his question, "I've actually been here since the start of the voyage but, I am not a member of the crew," She said avoiding the word stowaway because she felt that was such a cold, harsh word. "And the reason you haven't seen me is because I am very good at hiding"

"A stowaway, eh?" said Milo, chuckling. "Thought I smelled a rat. Well, welcome to the upper deck. The name's Milo- I'm first mate aboard this glubber-tub, along with me matey Ella.She got conked a good 'un at a barfight this mornin', so she's resting up in the crew's quarters." He unhooked his knees from the rigging and dropped to the deck gracefully, landing on all fours like a cat. "In any case, we're to stay in port for a couple more days, so enjoy the sunshine while you've got it."

"I'm Ingo, and one question, sorry if you find it rude but, are you and Ella...you know...together?"

Milo started with a chuckle, but was soon laughing fit to burst, leaning against the mast for support as tears flowed from his eyes. For a few minutes all he could do was laugh, but then he wiped his eyes and chuckled, "I hope that answers your question. There is no way I would ever go out with Ella."

"Oh ok," Hiding some of her own laughter because she didn't think what he said was true, hell, thay already looked like a pair. "Do you know where the captains are at the moment because neither of them know that i'm on board" she said blushing slightly from embarassment, she knew Milo, Ella, Xaria and Rylie and she hadn't even talked to the captain.
