Tauntedpaw smiled. "Yes!" He meowed. He loved battle training. He didn't notice the strange expression on his mentor's face. He was too excited to go training. He was only one month into his training and he was still full of his kit-energy.

Dewpaw shook her head. "I'm not hungry right now, but thanks!" She meowed, ready to go. She was excited to learn more moves to protect her brothers with. And she was learning them from one of the most talented and skilled warriors in the history of clans!

Cloudwing looked around. "Sure. Go find them and ask if they'd like to join us." She didnt mind the two apprentices, actually. They weren't evil cats and they didn't ask for this life. Why treat them like they were?

Ravenwing looked up from Sweekit as Tempeststar entered the den. "Excuse me for a moment, Sweetkit," she meowed and stood. She approached her leader with the dip of her head. She was no longer antsy around the leaders and she even occasionally had small talks with them. If she wanted to stay medicine cat, she should at least try to understand them better. "Yes, Tempeststar?" She asked.

"Perfect. Come on, today I'm going to teach you how to get rid of foxes." Heatherflight mewed. "It should be a breeze after all of the other training you've already finished." She began to trot toward the camp exit, completely ignoring Shadowpatch's sudden appearance from the medicine den. He could go rot for all she cared. Her pace picked up just slightly until she was out of camp, however, not that she really noticed it as she struggled to push away her hatred, because hatred implied caring. Indifference was what she preferred.

Dragonsong nodded. "Let's go then," she meowed. She led the way out of camp towards the training hollow.

Lichenpaw bounded off to Sunpaw. "Hey Sunpaw! Cloudwing is taking me training, do you and Snakepaw want to come?" he offered.

Sunpaw smiled. "Do I ever!" She leaped to her paws excitedly. "Snakepaw is on guard duty though." Since her and her brother's death, they had not received training. After all they were dead. But it made Sunpaw feel unwanted, not having a mentor and not learning. She'd been no more than 7 mons when she'd died.

Tempeststar sat down and laid his tail over his paws. "I was thinking that perhaps it is time for you to take an apprentice," he told the medicine cat.

Eagleheart - Tom - 84 moons - Tagged: Boapaw
As Eagleheart watched Boapaw, he resolved to ask Crystalheart about Boapaw. Subtly. If he could manage it. "You're doing extremely well, Boapaw. Would you like to take a short break back at camp? We can pick up training right after. I just don't want you wearing yourself out. I'll help you carry your catch back."

Dawnpaw nodded and crouched, imitating the move. She was slow, but she got the leaf from the angle she had been trying for, her claws piercing small holes in the dead brown target. "Like that?" She asked, looking up at Spiritfire. "And is there a trick to hunting them in pairs?"

Ravenwing looked at her leader in shock. "Really? But you and Twistedstar always told me that I didn't need one." She tilted her head in confusion. Why were her leaders changing their mind about a medicine cat apprentice?

Tauntedpaw perked. "Foxes?" He asked, suddenly bursting with more excitement than before. He bounded after Heatherflight.

Dewpaw nodded and began following Dragonsong. She looked around her at the scenery and decided that she would hunt at a certain spot on their way back because it seemed like it was full of prey.

Cloudwing called to the two apprentices. "Are we going training or what?"

Crystalheart sat outside the Warriors den grooming the stump of her tail. She somehow couldn't reach a certain spot and gave a sigh of exasperation. She gave up and and instead laid down, watching all of her kits leave camp to go training.

Boapaw shrugged. "I guess I'm a bit tired. And I would like Ravenwing to look at my path of missing fur," she meowed.

Spiritfire shook his head. "Hunting in pairs is easier because there's no specific way to do it. One cat simply chases the squirrel right into the other cat," he told his apprentice. "Try that move again," he added.

Tempeststar shrugged. "I think it would be nice for you," the big cat meowed. "To have a younger cat around to help? After all you're not exactly a young cat yourself anymore. And I am worried about the lack of kits in the clan, the only kits are my sons and Sweetkit."

Sunpaw nodded excitedly. "Let's go!"

Lichenpaw bounced after his mentor, beckoning Sunpaw to follow him.

Dragonsong looked around. "Here is good."

Eagleheart nodded. "Well, you go on ahead and get yourself looked at, I'll bring back your catch." He instructed. "You did very well today, especially considering that you hurt yourself and kept going. I'm very proud." He smiled at his apprentice before going back for the animals she'd caught already, trying to think of a time when he might be able to corner Dragonsong or strike up some kind of conversation with her and get her talking about Boapaw, see if she let anything slip.

Dawnpaw nodded, crouching again and repeating the move. She was only slightly faster that time, pouncing on the leaf and looking over at Spiritfire. There were still questions she itched to know the answers to, but she wasn't certain if he'd like all of them, like If we aren't dying anymore then why do we hunt? Instead, she asked, "Was that better? I feel like if I go too fast I'll snap a twig or something, but I'm not sure if I'm going too slowly to catch a real squirrel."

Shadowpatch had been grateful to Crystalheart since she'd taken in Boapaw, whom he had kept track of despite avoiding Heatherflight at all costs. He padded over to the she-cat, not having anything better to do. "How are you?" he asked her, lying beside her for a chat.

Crystalheart looked up as Shodowpatch approached. "I'm doing well. How about you?" She asked. She was getting quite old - she had the last litter of kits her body could manage moons ago. She was roughly 96 Moons old by now. She gave a yawn and kneaded her claws into the soft ground, smiling. Her age didn't bother her anymore - she was actually starting to enjoy it.

Ravenwing nodded, knowing that she was slowing with age. It was starting to tire her more from so many moons of working. "So what are you suggesting? One of your sons, or Sweetkit?"

Cloudwing chuckled and bounded from camp, heading toward a different clearing away from the training clearing. She figured that other apprentices and mentors would be there.

Dewpaw nodded and sat in front of her mentor. "What are we doing first?" She asked.

"Oh, I'm alright, I suppose." Shadowpatch replied, sighing. "Watching her grow has been a battle, but at least she's happy." He put his head on his paws. "Thank you, again, by the way, I don't think I can ever thank you enough for what you did." He spoke softly, not really wanting to be overheard by anybody, but Crystalheart was the only cat apart from Ravenwing that he could talk to, and Ravenwing was often busy with small injuries or herb-gathering or other Medicine Cat duties. Anyway, so long as he kept it cryptic he could claim he was talking about something else, or evade questions, should anyone overhear his soft words. "If there's ever anything I could do for you, I'd be happy to lend a paw."

Crystalheart assumed he was talking about Boapaw and smiled. "It was no problem. I'm happy to do a favor for a friend anytime," she meowed back softly. "I appreciate everything you've done to help me as well. But I presume I'm going to be joining the elders den soon. My body just won't move like it once did. So I believe that you'll be looking after me this time," she teased good-naturedly.
