Anyways, I haven't posted in ages. I don't even know when I last updated yall on my boys! Well Baze is still the best rat ever, Bug had to be put to sleep suddenly on the 10th, then Banchee, Beast, and Pscyho are still doing great! Beast is starting to be trained to accompany me out in public. (Baze kinda acts as a unofficial esa when I am going places that I know he is allowed. Most stores downtown love him, and I just stay outside when my family goes into place to grab a snack or something.)

I am also getting my first pair of girls on Monday! The one I have reserved is a black veriberk (I think, haven't seen a full body pic) with a lighting blaze. Then I couldn't decide on the others, so I'll just be picking one out once we get there lol

I have the money and supplies
all I need is the cutie herself and some rat food and I'm good to go

only obstacle is my dad.
he's bringing up every reason not to get a rat, and frankly, it's annoying me.
I've handled rodents before. not a rat, tbh, but I know what to expect. my best friend owns two.
any ideas on how to convince him to get me the one I'm dying to get? (female fancy)

The thing is, rats aren't happy at all living by themselves. They're social creatures that need a companion, and if you get just one, that one will be lonely, even with you providing a ton of attention. Just having one can result in mean behavior as well, and I doubt you want that. So if you do plan on getting rats, definitely make the argument to your dad that it's necessary you have two, despite how much he opposes it.

So now, if all goes well, I'll (hopefully) be getting two female Fancy Rats c: Where I live, Fancy Rats cost at least eleven dollars per rat, and since I have about thirty bucks, I'll hopefully be getting my girls soon <33

Now, all I have to do is convince my dad. Gonna be quite the uphill battle, but I'm determined, so wish me luck, guys! <3
