"This had better not be another one of those weird cult jobs..." Dreza grumbled, checking the time. He wasn't even sure who he was supposed to be meeting, but he was pretty sure they were late.He sighed and rubbed his forehead. Nothing had gone right for him in recent years. The last time he had any kind of good fortune was getting an inheritance, but that's not really a good thing if your relatives die. As the bounty hunter waited on the bench, he felt as though someone, or something, was watching him. Dreza hated the feeling, and it caused him to shift uncomfortably and impatiently. "Where are they?" He wondered aloud. He didn't realize that the mysterious eyes on him belonged to Charin.

Well, this was easier than they expected bringing an incredibly powerful demon back from a sleep of a thousand deaths would be. Who would've known that it got all caught up in the body of a bounty hunter, of all creatures? I mean, apart from them, of course. Seeing as they were watching into the whole cult fiasco and all. But hey, whatever! At least it's made easier for them! Speaking of that bounty hunter- there he is, on the bench, just where he was asked to go. Quietly, the small figure makes their way over to the hunter, the cloak covering most of their face and body- only showing the lower half of their face, and a sharp-toothed grin. "Hey there- you're the bounty hunter, right?"

"Yeah. What about it?" Dreza stood to meet the cloaked stranger face to face. "If you're the guy who hired me, I won't do anything weird. I have reasons, but all you need to know is a only do standard, run-of-the-mill jobs, like transport or something." Something certainly wasn't right about this guy. He made Dreza feel very uneasy, and the binding mark from the failed resurrection burned on his chest, but he hid his discomfort. "What do you want from me?"

"Standard jobs, huh?" The notably shorter figure circled around Dreza, cloak trailing behind them a little as they did. "Don't worry- I'm not gonna put you through anything weird or somethin'. All I need you to do is for you to find someone. A partner of mine, that's all. They went missin' a little while ago- say... a few years? I'm really startin' to get worried, so that's where you come in."

"A missing friend?" The bounty hunter raised an eyebrow. "If that's it, then what's with the mysterious getup? You look like you're a Sith wannabe." Dreza would never understand people. He shook his head. "Never mind. How much are you offering?" Business, Dreza. Don't ask questions. He'd been really out of it for a while. This would be his first paycheck in two months, so long as he didn't screw up.

They smile again, amused by the off-hand comment. "Heh. You have no idea how often I hear that kinda thing. I jus' think it's comfortable, I guess." People are hard to understand, they'd admit that. "Well- I'd be happy to pay you quite a bit in cash, so you can name your price. And I've also got a pretty valuable treasure of my own as a side-bonus, if ya want. It's a nice little thing- an amulet, kinda like a necklace only fancier and kinda heavier. The stones used in it are pretty damned valuable- if you pawned the thing, who knows how much you'd get?"

This deal was starting to catch Dreza's interest. "Any price? If that's the case..." He did a quick check of his finances, who he owed, how much, ect ect. "How does 150,000 sound? Of whatever kind of currency you carry. I feel that's about fair." If someone gave him the freedom to pick his own price, he wasn't going to go light with it. "Also, I'll take the amulet if you're still offering it." It was probably stolen, but Dreza knew people who traded those goods. "Now, what's the job? Details please."

They seem to take a moment to think it through, a pensive expression on their face, before smiling again. "Deal. And sure, you can still take the amulet. I guess I oughta give you it now to bind the deal or somethin'?" Yeah, it was kind of stolen. From someone else who had stolen it. Listen, they're not gonna just waltz up to a museum of ancient artefacts and swipe an ancient demonic amulet, they're gonna get someone else to do it for them and then snatch it. Twisted as it is, they kind of have a vague moral code.

Either that or it was just easier to frame someone else that way, but whatever.

"Details, right- it's nothin' much, really. Just find them, and the money's yours. Here's a few details about them- but uh, don't open it 'til you start work, okay? I dunno, feels better that way, I guess." Charin takes out a plain paper envelope, holding it out to the hunter, along with the amulet. "They usually hung around alleyways an' dark clubs and stuff, though they were a real sucker for ancient monuments too, so I guess you oughta check those places first. Got it?"

[i think the amulet'll probably awaken the demon or something?]

"Yeah yeah, got it. I hope you know this isn't the first job I've had." Dreza took both the amulet and thd envelope, looking them both over before slipping them into his pocket. Everything about this creep made Dreza's stomach churn, but he needed the money badly. "So at what point will I get my pay. And how?" That was another thing he needed to know. Was he to bring in this guy's friend or just give the location? And where was the cash drop going to be? You don't just give a guy that amount over a drink. People get curious, and that was never good. "Other than those two things, everything else is good."

(That makes sense. Like if he puts it on or something?)
