Found only in the Boreal Forests of North America, is a creature known solely for it's bad luck. These creatures, while very cute, are notoriously unlucky, clumsy little fellows, and tend to "curse" those who stumble upon them! This canine-like species have been appropriately named Flukes for this specific reason, and have only been recently discovered due to their growing population. With their species growing, it's only a matter of time before these little guys end up spreading all over! However, we've found a way to avoid any major disasters, and that's where you come in.
As mentioned previously, these guys are clumsy as all heck, and when frustrated with themselves, tend to make bad things happen! Each Fluke holds some amount of magic, magic which can do anything from make a sunny day dark and gloomy, to cause volcanic eruptions! Now we don't have to worry so much about this, because we've discovered that when a Fluke imprints on someone, they're less likely to lose control of themselves and cause any misfortune. The only downside is their caretakers MUST be willing to risk having some bad luck themselves, be it tripping over their own feet, running into glass doors, or even having something as random as a coconut fall on their head! Information

- Flukes range from the size of guinea pig at birth, to the size of a normal Corgi by the time they are adults
- Flukes range in a variety of colors and patterns, though, the rarest tend to appear with realistic canine patterns
- Flukes wings typically match their eye color, though, it is not uncommon to see varying colors
- Flukes always wear flower crowns, regardless of gender

Rarity Guidelines

● Common Flukes are generally bright with simple patterns, and they have no line edits/accessories.
● Uncommon Flukes tend to have slightly complex patterns, and generally bi-colored eyes and/or wings.
● Rare Flukes may have bright coats with intricate patterns, hair edits, or even an accessory or two
● Very Rare+ Flukes tend to have realistic coat animal colors/patterns, and may have accessories and line edits; they may even have a power
● Legendary Flukes may have line edits, be missing a limb, or even have different wings from the usual butterfly/dragonfly wings; they tend to be complex in design and have unusual traits and power(s)

Rules

✘ Flukes are a closed species; it is forbidden for anyone aside from a staff member to create one
✘ Selling your Fluke/breeding slots for any type of currency is forbidden; however trading/gifting is fine
✘ If you gift your Fluke, you must notify the artist who made them, as well as the archivist
✘ You may not be added to your Fluke, nor may you add items to them
✘ You may not request which tail or which wings you want
✘ Do not harass/otherwise abuse our staff members
✘ Flukes can be revoked/rehomed if a user is constantly causing problems within the community
✘ Do not steal a Fluke that doesn't belong to you
✘ Do not give your Flukes powers

✔ Respect one another, any abuse/bullying will not be tolerated
✔ There is no limit as to how many Flukes you may own
✔ Staff are permitted 1 custom per month for all of their effort
✔ Artists are allowed to offer semi-customs/customs at their own discretion, however, do not beg for them
→ Artists are allowed to ask for payment in return for these customs
→ These semi-customs/customs should not be a frequent occurrence

♥ Flukes can be of any sexual orientation or gender
♥ Same-gender mates are allowed to breed via stem-cell breedings
♥ Incestuous relationships are strictly forbidden
♥ Flukes are not required to be mates in order to breed
→ However, Flukes tend to be monogamous, and cannot be mates with multiple partners
♥ Flukes may be bred up to 6 times
♥ Fluke litters are called "fortunes", and 1-3 babies can occur per fortune
♥ Fluke babies take 2 weeks to fully mature
♥ A pair must wait these full 2 weeks before breeding again

Staff Rules

✔ Full-time artists may make as many Flukes as they'd like
✔ Once in a while artists are permitted to offer semi-customs/customs, so long as they run it by me first
→ Please ask me if you plan to sell these customs for currency
→ Please speak with me before adding accessories/line edits to any adopt/custom
✔ Flukes can be any color, just keep in mind realistic dog coats are considered rare
✔ An artist must contact me before making themselves a custom
✔ An artist must contact me before making a very rare+ Fluke
✔ Users may not request eye/wing color for adopts, those are solely up to the artist
→ Users may choose their flower-crown color, however
✔ Artists may choose to do breedings, if they would like

Warnings/Bans

✘ If you are found breaking any rules/harassing community members, you risk earning a warning, or even a ban depending on the severity of the issue. Keep in mind, if you cause enough harm, your Flukes can be confiscated and rehomed.
✘ You get three warnings before you begin to receive temporary bans. If behavior does not improve, you risk earning a permanent ban.
✘ Warnings will be removed after a week. Temporary bans/permanent bans can result in a loss of privileges, including adopting/breed your Flukes.
