"Sweetkit, we can't breathe underwater." Shadowpatch pointed out gently. "Besides, we can wash ourselves. I'm just saying we can't completely avoid dirt. Worrying about it is a losing battle. Besides, cats rarely get sick anymore, thanks to the Shadows." Only a cat who had known him very well for a very long time would see how insincerely he felt about the Shadows, but he was very used to hiding his true feelings from most cats then by then.

Ambergaze looked at the cats arguing. All over me. She thought, bitterly.

Twistedsecret looked up from her kits. There where a few cats- Shadows and living- quarreling in the center of the camp. Looking down, she mewed, "Sorry, little ones." To her kits and gently stood. Leaping gracefully down from her perch, she stomped over to the group. "What in the Void's name are you squabbling about?"

Bluntfang lashed his tail. "Kinktail here was being rude to Ambergaze," he meowed with a respectful dip of his head to Twistedstar.

Kinktail rolled her eyes. "Ohh, I'm shaking." She muttered, slinking away to go hunting. She supposed she'd have to figure out a more creative way to take revenge on the living cats, and she did her best thinking on her own in the forest.

Shadowpatch buried the entrails of his meal neatly. "Looks like there's some kind of squabble out in camp. I really ought to keep my visits to a minimum." he mewed, brushing cheeks with his sister. "I'll stop by later today or early tomorrow, though. Sweetkit, if you stay here, make sure you don't mess up Ravenwing's herb piles." He added, giving the kit an affectionate flick with his tail as he padded out.

Ravenwing smiled. "See ya," she meowed as her brother padded from the den. "Do you want me to take you back to the nursery or do you want to stay here?" She asked, smiling down at Sweetkit.

Dewpaw wandered around camp. "Dragonsong?" She called, looking around for the grey tabby warrior.

Tauntedpaw padded in the opposite direction from his sister. "Heatherflight?" He looked around for his mentor.

"I'm up," Lichenpaw grumbled. He shook out his fur and gave it a few licks before walking up to his older sister. "What are we doing today?" he asked.

Cloudwing smiled at her grumpy brother. "Cheer up! We're going to do battle training." She remembered the first time she had met her little brother. He was almost able to become an apprentice when Cloudwing had returned from Cavernclan. She had been so surprised that Tempeststar and Twistedstar had immediately given her an apprentice after she returned. Maybe they were testing her loyalty and teaching skills. She shook her head. She shared Eagleheart's beliefs and were strongly against the Shadows, and she hoped to pass this down to her little brother so he doesn't become corrupted like the deputy and his brother did.

\\Sorry for my relative inactivity. I've had to deal with a very time-consuming project in real life, though now it should be done with. Heatherflight is toward the neutral side of for the Shadows- she could be swayed but she sees no problem with never dying in a land of eternal Newleaf.

Heatherflight heard her name being called and looked around. Seeing her apprentice, she padded over to him rather than get embroiled in what looked like trouble for Kinktail. "Good morning, Tauntedpaw," she greeted her apprentice. "Ready for a bit of battle training?" She was, rather privately, grateful that Boapaw was already gone. She quashed the feeling quickly, as she had made that decision in order to give her the best life she could. If Boapaw meant something to her, that meant she would ruin the perfect life she had given to her- to an apprentice, and taken for herself. Her smile grew slightly fixed.

Dragonsong heard her apprentice's voice. "Ah Dewpaw. Do you want anything to eat before we head out?" she asked.

Lichenpaw stretched. "Can Snakepaw or Sunpaw come with us?" he asked. Lichenpaw had grown very close to the Shadow apprentices Snakepaw and Sunpaw. The dark eyed tom looked up at his sister hopefully, unlike Cloudwing Lichenpaw had been born and raised in a clan filled with Shadows. He saw them as cats, not the remnants of evil spirits.

Tempeststar trotted into the medicine cat den. "Ravenwing," he meowed. The blue tabby was large and well-muscled, a shell of the tiny green-eyed kit who had been found outside WildClan after the battle.
