I don't think it's that people hate her, it's that she used to make different (better in my opinion) music (I had an album of hers when I was little) and then she suddenly "came in like a wrecking ball" with this bizarre, suggestive music video. Not to mention the footage of her dancing on stage the way she was.

Her behavior, attitude, and appearance changed dramatically. She went from being society's standard of a respectable woman to what many people would call a "dyke." (A dyke is a woman that typically has short hair and appears to be masculine. Their behavior can sometimes be dominant as well, and people find this to be snobbish.)

She's a target for bullies, and the internet is the perfect place for cowards to gang up on celebrities-- or whoever.
