Batya listens to her again and wonders why she didn't introduce herself before writing down, "I cannot talk. I have been writing ever since I was two I think." She pulls her legs closer to her as she starts to get a little stressed but tries to not show it.

Ari smiled. "Oh. Well, then I guess it's okay that you're better writer than me," she said thoughtfully. "Do you got a name? My name's Ari. It's a nice name I think."

Parker smiled. "I'll make you something, if you want," he offered. "I was just getting ready to make some for Finn. I'm sorry, but what's your name? Right now, I can't quite remember who all was due to arrive today."

the boy was still crouched in the treeline. he saw a man come in the house who he presumed to be the owner. he hoped he hadn't noticed than bren had arrived as the man had been absent at the same of his arrival. it seemed many people indeed didn't notice bren, so..

Grace: I looked up "We understand how busy you are." I said softly then added "would it be alright if I fixed dinner one night? I would like to fix something special for everyone just once. " I looked down again my body tense as I looked at the step in front of me. I wondered what he was going to say or do to me for my first offense of breaking the rules but I didnt say anything I just kept looking at the floor."

Batya nods to the questions and writes down again, "My name is Batya." She shows it to Ari before looking at her ruined picture that she was drawing in her drawing pad before Ari surprised her. Batya quickly closes her drawing pad before wrapping her left arm around her legs, letting what she has of her right arm hang at her side.

"Batya," she said, her pronunciation shaky. "That's a nice name, too." She wasn't picking up how nervous the girl seemed at all. In her mind, she had just made a new friend. Noticing the now set aside art pad, she said, "Do you like coloring, too? I like to color, cept I get markers all over my hands a lot. Then I would get in trouble." She flinched at the memory of her step-father shouting at her angrily, while she clutched a sloppy drawing of her, her brother, her mother, and her step-father labeled 'my family.'

Parker could tell both girls were rather nervous. Turning to the third girl, he said, "And you must be Rose? It's wonderful to meet you girls. Has someone shown you around at all?"
At Grace's request, he smiled. "Sure, Grace. That would be a big help to me."

Grace: I gave Parker a smile then sighed softly. 'maybe he's in a good mood today so I wont get too much of a beating for my mistake.' I thought then I looked at him again "oh I dont want to bother you too much but I need to have my antibiotics and my pain meds refilled in a couple days. I can bring the bottles to your office later when you have time." I said nervously as I reached up and lightly rubbed the stitches at my throat they were bothering me and even though I had taken my meds those were the stitches that really seemed to hurt the worst.
