Blackpaw ran out into the snow. "Can I join the patrol?" she asked excitingly.

Shadowfrost nodded at the apprentice, "me you and one other cat are going on dawn patrol. Berrytail will lead the hunting patrol."

"See if anyone is free to go, maybe an apprentice and their mentor." Shadowfrost replied, "I need to find one more cat to join us then we can go Blackpaw."

The young cat was very excited. I'm going on my first patrol ever! She said in her mind.

Cinder crouches, just a few foxtails away from the mouse. Suddenly she leaps, almost landing on the mouse. It runs away but Cinder gives chase, slamming a paw down on its tail, preventing escape. She swiftly ends the mouse with a bite to its throat, the creature going limp. "No clan cats have come by so I guess I can eat this in peace.." she mutters as she drops her prey and begins to tear at its pelt.
