Lionkit dragged his small body forward, head hold high. He looked small and weak. Quite frankly he looked like a ghost, even with his pelt groomed and shining. All the grooming couldn't help the fact he still looked sickly, malnourished His once golden coat hanging off like rags.

Rowanlog bristled his fur as soon as Faithstar announced that Lionkit's name was now Deathshade. "No!" he hissed, fury filling his tone. He rose to his paws, baring his teeth and lashing his tail angrily. "What makes you think you may change his name?! He will be perfectly fine training as an apprentice! Surely StarClan wouldn't approve of this!" Rowanlog's amber eyes glared at the leader in disgust and new-found hatred. Mossheart, you can't let this happen! Please, please do something!

After successfully finding the plan Emeraldsky had described, Pepper had gathered three bundles of it. Probably not as many as Emeraldsky had hoped for, she thought as she carried the herb in her jaws, padding back to camp. But at least it's something. The black-furred molly entered camp, tightening her grip on the borage, and subtly sneaking behind the crow of cats. She gazed around the group of cats to see if Emeraldsky was within them, sure enough, the medicine she-cat was sitting at the back of the crowd. Pepper approached the she-cat, and dropped the herbs at her paws. "I got the borage!" she said.





"I just thought that you'd like to watch the ceremony that's going on," he told Lightningpaw, gesturing with his tail towards the pool of water that showed the real world. "You probably went to it during your Medicine Cat Apprentice Ceremony with Daisyleaf, right?" Lionlight flicked his stubby tail, looking down at the pool. It showed Rowanlog, a furious expression on his face as his son's name was changed to "Deathshade". "I personally disagree with the name change. But Mossheart has already explained to me that this is his fate. The challenges that are coming were written in the stars."

Shocked because he had never seen a name-changing ceremony before, let along a kit instantly becoming an elder. The other part was pleased, as he would only be training with capable cats that would improve his skill.
