Street Kids
You are an orphan, whether you were abandoned, your parents died, or something else, we don't mind. Its okay to cry or talk about it, we all do at one time or another. We have one goal though, never get caught. If we are, we are sent to the orphanage where we will remain for the rest of our lives. A lot of kids like to live there. You might think, 'When I grow up, they'll kick me out.' Sorry to pop your bubble of hope but no one ever leaves the orphanage. Your considered very lucky if you manged to escape. There is a tall wall that surrounds the place. When you grow up, you work there, your paycheck is food and clothing. No money to start your own life. People don't adopt from here. Its hidden, hidden from the people. Why it is, I do not know. The only ones who know about it are the ones who have lived there. Stay hidden friend.... stay hidden and stay alert....

Orphans
We live at the Orphanage. Its not that bad but some leave. They feed us, clothe us, let us be kids. We don't know why some leave but thats not our business. When we grow up, we get to work here and if you're lucky, you may be a patrol officer.

Patrol Officers
We work for the orphanage. Every one of us were children that grew up there. It doesn't matter though where you came from or who you were. We are all loyal officers of the orphanage. Our job? Gather up the homeless kids and take them to the orphanage. We trick them, decieve them, and if needed, knock them out. The paycheck is pretty sweet too. They give us food and clothes for free. Pretty sweet deal, eh? Trust me, once you get used to it, it isn't that bad. Come with us...

Nannys
We own this place and the kids who live here. If you behave and do as told, you'll be part of our one big happy family. If not, you'll be punished. The punishments vary from being grounded and lectured to time out and saying sorry. Nobody likes foxes in the hen house, especially here. Why those trouble-makers rebel, there is no reason. We gave them a home, clothed them, fed them, took care of them. We gave them toys and let them make friends. We schooled them too, just like if they had parents. Apparently that wasn't enough for some and they became utterly disrespectful. Anyway, we're sure you'll like it here. If you are a good girl or boy, then you can be a patrol officer and help other kids to discover the wonders of this place...

Plot Twist!

The street kids are all taken to the orphanage where the security is ramped up a notch. General Ferris (me) is head of the security now and makes sure no street kid gets out of his grasp. He is a step ahead of everyone and almost no one can escape him.

History:Alex has gone through many systems. She used to have hope of her parents coming back, but she after she ran away she found out that her parents already had built another family, and they hardly remembered Alex. Her hope has dimmed over the years, leaving her doubtful, and she never lets anyone get to know her well.

History: Batya was the child of a teenage mom and was left on the sidewalk a few blocks from where the teenager and her family lived since the parents didn't want their daughter to have a child. She was soon found in a cardboard box wrapped in a blanket with her first name sewn on it and taken to the orphanage by a patrol officer.
