黒澤 研と (Kurosawa Kento) is a SSS-rated ghoul originating from Aogiri Tree. He followed the organization obediently until the day his sister 黒澤 恵子 (Kurosawa Keiko) was brutally murdered by what Kento believed to be a betrayal/collaboration between a member of Aogiri Tree and the CCG. After the tragedy, he sought to escape from both Aogiri Tree and the CGG to find a more peaceful life. He left the violent organization at the age of 18 and is currently 19-years-old. His search is still in action, and he is still moving independently.

During his time in Aogiri Tree, he was often a paramount target for the CCG. He was given the nicknames 黒悪魔 (Kuro Akuma|Black Devil) and 悪魔の死神 (Akuma no Shinigami|Devil's Reaper), and he was thought to be a high potential threat due to his dual kagune - rinkaku & ukaku. Although he's often thought of to be extremely dangerous, Kento has a soft heart (but not soft enough to stop him from surviving and defending himself.) He works part-time at a DVD rental down the street from the coffee shop. He is often recognized by his gas mask. Kento is portrayed with short, light brown hair and darker brown eyes. He's known to have many ear piercings and is usually seen in a black hoodie.

According to the CCG, not much is known about 天月 (Amatsuki), except for two things: he's dangerous and must be exterminated. He is of no organization but has aimlessly harmed the CCG out of boredom. He is unranked due to the CCG's lack of information and no way of measuring his true strength. Many guess that he is an ukaku ghoul. Although Amatsuki has lived for 18 years, he was rarely seen; but recently, the ghoul is said to have been sighted more often. It is noted that he prefers to use daggers as his weapon rather than his kagune.

赤月 (Akatsuki|Daybreak/Red Moon) and 月 (Tsuki|Moon) are nicknames given to him by other ghouls. He has a carefree and nonchalant attitude and is adorned with a yandere personality, but he is very serious about his desires. As a child, Amatsuki was diagnosed with chronic disorganization. He's often regarded to be unusually awkward but is able to blend in with humans well, so much so that he is often practically unseen. His appearance usually has a very dark color-scheme. He has jet black hair and dark brown eyes. His attire is always black, and he wears a very simple black mask. He's secretly a cat lover and reveals a childish charisma when concerning himself with them.

Being super confident in herself, she walked to where humans were more plentiful than the ghouls, straying awfully close to the 1st ward. "Now, how should I go about it?" She wondered to herself, patting the dust off her dress as she walked. "I need to do this in such a way as I won't get caught but how?" Alice patted harder at her dress;this was an unconscious movement, only happening when she was thinking too hard. "I can't get close to the main CCG building so I need to find a patrolling investigator!" With the last word, she straightened up and clapped her hands together, looking pleased with herself.

She bolted down the street, bag now in her hand as it had slipped off her shoulder earlier in the run. She was going to be really late! If only the light hadn't changed when it did! Now there was only one chance to get to school during the first class;down a dark alley. So she cut down it, though at this time she was not safe from ghouls. She dodged around the bags and garbage littering the asphalt, growing more tired in her sprint. Almost there's! she cried in her mind. Aaaand she tripped on a stray cup, falling over, sending her papers flying everywhere. "Oh no...." She groaned, trying to gather her scattered homework.
