exiled from Thunderclan and are to never return." Without a word,
the former deputy of Thunderclan fled from the angry cats, knowing
his clan was past reason. His apprentice, Breezepaw, could not bear
the thought of a life without her dear mentor and with tears in her,
she ran after him into the unknown. Both were never seen again.

A frost crept upon the vegetation in the forest, as if signaling the clan
their doom. Plagued by terrible dreams and violent images, it was
no wonder why Amberlight couldn't sleep that night. She crept out
of her den, careful not to wake anyone as she made her way towards
the center of camp. A soft thudding could be heard as she walked,
air billowing from her mouth in small clouds because of the cold.
She sat down slowly, curling her tail over her freezing paws, riding
on a wave of her thoughts. "Bad dreams?" A voice asked from the
shadows and Amberlight felt, somehow, comforted by the strange
words and visibly relaxed before nodding. "I see... Perhaps it would
be best to end them, then?" It was only then that the doomed warrior
understood what was happening and before she could scream, she was
silently tackled to the ground. With her collapse came a hit to her
cranium from the hard ground as she was knocked unconscious. There
was no pain when she passed silently into the abyss; no sound at all,
just the wind howling mournfully to welcome her death with sadness and
despair.

Sunfrost awoke, uncomfortable, thinking perhaps... they exiled the wrong cat. She decided some morning air would do her good and padded out of her den... only to be greeted by the dead body of Amberlight. She gasped and yowled a message to the clan, "The murderer is not gone! Amberlight... is DEAD!" With that, she lowered her head and crouched next to the fallen warrior to grieve.

Firebreeze ran out. "I-I was wrong?" She put her head on Amberlight's body. "I'm so sorry..." She began crying.

Whitewind curled up in her nest. She was positive they caught the murderer. Her dream was cut short by a grief-stricken screech. Quickly, she got to her paws and burst out of the warriors den. "No..." the furry cat whispered, eyes finding Amberlight's body. She leapt down to the she-cat. Sunfrost and Firebreeze were there as well. Winterfrost was shockee. Jaggedleaf wasn't the murderer?! She sat on the other side of Amberbright. "She was a great warrior," she murmured, pressing her white head into the she-cat'a cold fur.

"Yes. And now a mere four cats are left in this unfortunate clan..." Sunfrost had had a feeling that Jaggedleaf was not the murderer... but instead of the real murderer stopping, they had struck another innocent cat. "I think that if we want Thunderclan to live, we need to choose the right cat this time."
