@dalmation. -I haven't seen the new mold I hear dapples and I'm curious if they will do them right. I know most of breyers dapples usually look like fish scales. So I'm excited to see if they do them right this time <3 AND I wish I could go, that'd be super cool. <3 Super expensive I hear too. I wanna meet some horses tho, so maybe it's worth it. Just not this year.

They are one of my favourite horse colours.
Speckled - I think the cleveland bay mold would look fantastic as a knabstrupper!

I've one last question before I go shopping tomorrow for a few other things - is it ok to prime a custom horse using liquid white and then just start painting straight away, or do I need to prime with either liquid white or just plain titanium white and leave it a few weeks to dry (or try to get some cobalt drier)? It will be a black leopard appaloosa painted entirely in oils (planning on just using from the tube so one layer - will have a go at doing the spots in oils) so a largely white horse. The original model is a liver chestnut overo so not exactly the easiest to paint over.

I've got the duplicate model in front of me, though not entirely sure which one to paint. One has better colours but the other has better defined markings. The better markings has wider legs, bent outwards slightly - I'm wondering if this will actually make her a touch easier to paint? I might go with that one for that reason.

I really like the celebration model for this year, more then recent previous years! But I have never been, and there is little chance I will be going in 2016. I asked my mom if she wanted to go, but she says it sounds boring, Which is understandable if you don't collect model horses ! But I told her I really wanted to go and maybe it could be a birthday present, so I guess i'll just wait and see. I definitely don't have the funds to pay for hotel and airfare myself yet.

Anyway, what do you guys think of the 2016 releases, are you planning on getting any of them? I really want banks vanilla, babyflo, Rhapsody in Black, and Valegro. Why does there have to be so many cool ones this year, my bank account is going to be hurting!!

I'm hoping to get some mini resins this year, and possibly look at saving towards getting a mini resin directly from the artist and have it custom painted by someone. Pricey but it'd be amazing. As for OF models, I'm mostly just looking forward to all the new Breyer Stablemates Club models, especially the new mold Django... it looks so pretty <3 Can't wait to see the other releases in the club, I'm signed up and will be excited to add them all to my collection. Minis, minis everywhere for me.

Although I still have about 20 traditionals on my shelves, I did manage to sell one more today... eventually I'll have cleared them all out (okay, save for maybe one or two. The bay MFT is really growing on me and I don't want to lower his price anymore... if no one buys it in the next couple of relists, he's staying. And if I can ever have a chance to get a decently priced Double Trouble someday I will... grail of mine... potential conga? oh no someone stop me now).

I know ;w; I entered for Bramble. Not much a fan of Cinza but he is very pretty. Hoping to get drawn for Bramble but chances are slim of course! Good luck to anyone else who enters and good luck to those who buy raffle tickets to Cinza if anyone is gonna~

So I've been gathering some new additions to my collection over this past month, and making a lot of changes to my overall plans for the whole hobby. I sold off the last of my original collection- all my original traditionals, classics, and stablemates are all sold and gone now. I have my new growing collection of minis (stablemates and Peter Stone chips), which was my original only goal- minis only, save for a couple of keepers, my bay MFT and Forever Saige. Buuut I sorta ran into a problem... I fell in love with the Peter Stone traditional saddlebred mold. And also caved when they had the 50% off weekend DAH sale, so I sort of ordered a custom saddlebred... and bought RR saddlebred from someone else. And am buying another.

My plan is to create a 12-horse conga challenge for myself. No more than 12, all of them Peter Stone trad-sized saddlebreds, and they must be glossy. Each one I chose to add to the conga has to be one I really want, and can include ones that I currently can't find for sale and must spend some time to find. And I can only work on one at a time before deciding on the next one I want. This is my first guy, the Vistula saddlebred, though pics don't do his color justice-



So he will be #1 of the conga, then the DAH will be #2 (which probably won't get here until March), and my first challenge model is Spirit Mountain, who I almost snagged in an ebay auction but lost at the last second- fortunately, I did find someone else with a Spirit Mountain they are willing to sell to me but we're still discussing. After that, I dunno who I'll go after!
