Moonstrike smiled slightly as the apprentices talked, happy they were enjoying themselves. This soon passed though as they neared the border. The female quickened her steps so she was beside Ravenpaw. "Alright you two. We're close to the border now. Be alert" Her own ears came forward as she swiveled her head to check out the forest around them. Hopefully they wouldn't run into anything too dangerous. That was the last thing they needed with the two apprentices.
The thought had hardly crossed her mind before the smell of foreign cats hit her. Moonstrike immediately signaled for Foxtail and indicated that they should stop moving. "Foxtail. Smell that? Come on. You two," she turned to the apprentices, "Stay behind us and stay close." She started forward, steps as light as she could make them. Soon, through the bushes, she caught the sight of two cats, both obviously not from the clan. They didn't smell like DeathClan either. Bracing herslef, she glanced back to make sure the others were there before crouching and leaping over the shrubs in front of her. "You there! You're in LeafClan territory." She kept her fur flat, not wanting to start a fight without needing to.

The crackle of undergrowth was all the warning he had before a cat appeared in front of he and his brother. Solis immediately flattened his ears and skittered backwards to his brothers side. The she cat that had confronted them had said they were on LeafClan territory. That meant a lot more cats. He could already smell a few others behind her, how many he couldn't tell, but he knew they were outnumbered. The female didn't seem to want a fight though, instead just trying to warn them off.
