I totally forgot what the old layout looked like, even though I've known this site from 2008 xD

I do remember that I didn't want to trade pets in the beginning, I gave most of my extra outcomes from 2009 away. I even deleted a number of pets I felt I had too many of, fortunately those were 2nd gen outcomes that could be adopted limitless. It's funny that some of those old pets that you could adopt as many times as you want like the warrior cats and tess horses have quite a bit of demand now.
I can't say I miss the old horse lines. Yulynh's lineart is gorgeous and I like lot of the old horse designs much better after the revamp. I do miss the Malk pets, but with all the new species being added now I can't complain

Overall I like that this site has stayed pretty similair over the years while adding new things as well. It's the only adoptable site I still regularly visit because it doesn't require you to check back each day and waste a couple of hours earning points or clicking things a ton of times to do well, with the exception of token hunts.

also the fact that it took like a super long time for me to understand the lists and the trading system and stuff on this site.
Thus trading my shima longtail for a handful of commons and uncommons.

oh, and I also vaguely remember the old layout. not very well, though >.<

The trade was so old though I cant even find it in my list of trades anymore. It's been bumped out of the 100 page limit lmAO

oh yeah, i know the 2nd gen litter you're talking about! i remember when those came out. we didn't have new 2nd gen litters monthly back then, so it was avaliable for a really long time. :0

Old folks, remember that one time the CS mods allowed us to put offline pets onto our accounts? I was around since July and I managed to get a ton of oldies because of this one time deal. I think it was around Christmas 2009? Can anyone help me out for when this occurred?

...Or rather, the horrors of not having groups. Or a wishlist feature. Or an easy trade system. Or the ability to adopt multiple pets at a time. Waiting multiple hours for an Easter banner. The fear when Tess had the cruelty to let us adopt two Grinners when there was six outcomes. The debate over whether or not there should be a re-release again in 2009. That one incident involving this litter.

I joined CS because I thought it'd be a fun little distraction from Howrse that I could occasionally go on when everything else bores me.
I quit Howrse in late 09 but here I am, still playing on CS :'3

I vaguely remember the ordeal with that January 09 pet. All I remember is it was a late addition to the other three litters. Anyone care to elaborate?

Some users managed to get the dogs before they were officially released; IIRC it was a mistake with the set-up on the adoption page but I forgot, oops.
One person who got the dogs early was Lady, as can be seen here in their dog group, where those pets have the adoption date 01/01/2009, even though they had not been released then.

But basically some people got the litter before they were supposed to, and back then it caused a bit of drama because others got upset about it being unfair since they were not made to delete/give up the pets.
They were then released later in January for everyone.
