past avatar; before being trapped and stripped of her disguise, nariko actually played as a male avatar to remove the gender barrier in terms of strength. her avatar looked quite similar to her, but she made herself a bit taller which did take some adjusting to. her eyes were the same vibrant red, hair the same near-white shade, and instead of a rather feminine figure, she took on a muscular body to match her male disguise. he was a hit among the lady players. she was quite content with this image and disappointed when all the players were reverted to their true appearances.

personality; in real life, nariko has always been a strong character. she's not afraid of voicing her opinions, and in doing so, can be rather blunt. she finds no shame in accepting or asking for help, but when she blunders, nari becomes rather embarrassed and reacts oftentimes violently. she means no real harm, and it's difficult to remain on her bad side. due to their circumstances in sao, she does her best to make the most of it and uses her cooking skills to cheer others up. once she becomes hooked on something, nariko is passionate and hasn't been known to be a quitter when the going gets tough. she likes to think of herself as open-minded, but her sharp gaze catches every detail, and she is rather analytical because of this. to her friends, she is fiercely protective and may act as an older sister. nari may also be childish at times, teasing others or making sly comments. overall, nariko is a charismatic figure who will offer a helping hand to anyone, but it's best to be wary of her sharp tongue.

backstory; in her younger years, nariko was the type of girl to rough play with the boys rather than play dolls with the girls. it was around this age that she was introduced to video games, and despite not being an intense gamer, she continued to play throughout high school. her grandmother raised her with her younger brother, kenshiro [15]. when she grew up and gender suddenly seemed to matter, nari found herself stuck between the boys' world and the girls' world. rather lost, she turned to her grandmother for some form of guidance and found herself spending more and more time in the kitchen with her grandmother. at first, it was just a few dinners she would help with, but then she began to take over the cooking duties due to finding interest in the art as well as to relieve her aging grandmother of the task.

weapons/items; nariko uses a silver estoc with a ruby studded obsidian pommel. it's labeled by the game as <<Red Moon>> and increases in strength as the player levels up as well as having a tad more than average upgrading abilities. the sword is best used with two hands for maximum control. because of this, nari generally doesn't use a shield but has a store bought one in her inventory. she prefers lightweight armor as her attacks rely mostly on speed. a majority of her items are cooking items if not crystals and potions.

skills; since her sword is better suited for thrusting, nariko's sword skills include <<rapier>>, <<two-handed straight sword>>, <<linear>>, <<oblique>>, <<quadruple pain>>, <<shooting star>>, and <<spinning shield>>. later in the game, she will gain the <<battle healing>>, <<star splash>> and <<flashing penetrator>> skills. she is also capable of <<gengetsu>> and <<suigetsu>>. prominent other skills include <<extended weight limit>> to carry more cooking supplies, <<price negotiation>>, and <<straining>>. her <<cooking>> skill, of course, is her main priority outside of fighting.

clothing; nariko, although having a feminine figure, is often seen wearing what would be deemed as masculine apparel such as trousers, t-shirts, and boots. she dresses this way solely in the public eyes, though, as she wants to come off as a strong player. otherwise, she wears skirts and blouses just like she normally would.

manifestation; jesper's manifestation is dubbed as ability imitation. in short, he has the ability to manipulate his body to mimic opponents' abilities for a limited duration. the length of time he can maintain the skill depends on the ability. physical capabilities such as speed and strength are much more convenient to steal, and certain mammalian manifest qualities are unable to be copied due to them too drastically changing his genetic makeup. he can only steal one ability at a time, and he does take on the consequences of the manifestations, whatever they may be. to mimic an ability, he must have direct skin contact with the user. he is also capable of voice replication, which appears to stem from his ability imitation manifestation, but he must stay in physical contact with the person for the entire period.

weapons/skills; since jesper is heavily reliant on his opponent's abilities in combat, he favors his own strength through martial arts over physical weapons. he carries a switchblade in his pocket, and when given the opportunity, he doesn't mind using a metal or wooden bat. despite him being a versatile fighter, his true strength derives from his ability to mimic fighting styles by simply watching his opponent.

appearance; jesper stands at around 1.78 meters [approx. 5' 10"] and weighs around 76.2 kilograms [approx. 168 lbs]. he has compact muscles lining his body, but his strength may not seem obvious due to the fact that he generally layers his clothing, masking his body structure. jesper has clear teal eyes that appear to smile and laugh along with him. his hair is straight, chestnut brown, and reaches about to the middle of his neck. he has a fringe which is unevenly cut, and he often pins up his bangs to prevent it from getting to severely in his eyes. jesper doesn't have anything to signify his civilian self from his role as mockingbird since he goes by either name at anytime, but he does have a certain style of dress. he is always seen wearing a thin black choker, a black hoodie with silver studs rimming the hood, and sneakers. he is typically seen wearing jeans and a wallet chain or two hanging from his side. his undershirt is usually a brighter coloured t-shirt of colours he likes such as green and blue. his right ear has two lobe piercings, and his left ear has a single lobe piercing. he has one small tattoo on his left shoulder blade of a bird silhouette.

personality; initially, jesper comes off as a mild-tempered soul who prefers to dwell in his own thoughts. however, this is just the facade jesper puts up when he's analyzing someone and his situation. he prefers to know his circumstances before plunging into a conversation, and similarly in combat, he takes his time getting to know his opponent's fighting style before using it against them. at heart, jesper is a benevolent figure, simply wanting to take care of his loved ones and protect his morals, but he is prone to violent fits when extremely irritated. it's difficult to calm this young man down, and if ever seen by his loved ones in this fit, he would be completely mortified and unable to face them again. towards those he trusts, he tends to have an older brotherly attitude towards them, especially girls since it's in his nature. he is confident in his strength, but his confidence occasionally leads him onto the path of cockiness and then his downfall. by those he deems equal or higher ranked in strength, he becomes very competitive towards and observes them more closely.

backstory; jesper is not entirely sure of when he developed his ability since he didn't have anybody with a manifestation during his younger years. he suspects he became able to imitate powers between the ages of fifteen and seventeen due to some brief incidents. jesper is the elder of two younger sisters [17 and 15]. they were raised by their single father since their mother's death a couple years after his youngest sister was born. he grew to accept many household duties to help alleviate his father's stress. some of his tasks included cleaning, laundry, and cooking. he still dislikes cleaning and laundry, but jesper has come to appreciate that he can now cook for himself and others. often frustrated with his life at times, he would violently take his anger out at school when he was even the slightest provoked, yet, he showed none of this at home to protect his family. he grew a reputation and began to lead a gang of other savage boys and their girlfriends. it wasn't until he learned about his abilities that jesper decided to use his strength for good rather than for just messing around.

manifestation; kurami has the power of shadow manipulation, an elemental, cognitive ability. her most notable skill, which is her best offensive and defensive move, is to meld herself in with shadows, hiding her presence entirely. although she may still perform this in broad daylight, her only method of doing so would be through her own shadow or through someone else's. through her own, she is free to move about but extremely traceable. in someone else's shadow, she is forced to stay put within the perimeter of said person's shadow. in a shadow, she becomes difficult to catch, but not impossible, for if the surface which the shadow is projected upon is damaged or destroyed or the shadow is eliminated with light, she looses her camouflage and becomes visible once more. if the shadow she is hiding in can be run through, there is the possibility to literally catch her. because where shadows start and end may be rather ambiguous at times, kura may enter a shadow from a close proximity as well as by direct contact. kurami may have partial assimilation with shadows, but whatever part is not in the shadow is visible, so she cannot attack while completely undercover. another characteristic of her ability is shadow pinning, meaning that she may stop others by having contact with their shadow. if they resist against her hold with enough strength or for long enough, she loses her grasp, and generally this is done in closer ranges, so it is a danger to do in fights. her last talent is pulling allies into the shadows for protection. this cannot be done if the person resists, and they must remain in physical contact with kurami the entire time. they may leave on their own will, but they cannot enter without kura. in total darkness, kurami's abilities are useless since shadows are possible with the presence of light. weapons/skills; kurami specializes in hand-to-hand combat as well as the use of blades, typically smaller ones such as daggers to suit her fighting style. she is familiar with the use of swords, specifically a katana, but they are cumbersome compared to knives. kura has an assassin-esque fighting style, going in swiftly for kills before pulling away into the protective hold of her shadows. generally, she fights in bursts if the opponent is stronger or there are multiple. her speed, intuition, and quick reaction time are what make her a capable fighter. she also has a pair of spiked and clawed gloves on her person.

appearance; kurami stands at around 1.65 meters [approx. 5' 5"] and weighs around 59.4 kilograms [approx. 131 lbs]. she has a lean muscular build with her strength evenly distributed. she has silky, straight, black hair reaching to about the middle of her back. it's usually tied up in a ponytail to prevent getting in her way. her eyes are a stormy blue, capable of appearing hostile or gentle. her skin is lightly tanned, and overall, she appears to be a bit younger than her true age. under her alias of phantom, kurami dons a black trench coat with many internal compartments for storing her blades and other items as well as a bottom half mask resembling a samurai's mask to hide her true identity. her ears are pierced, and she has a scar running across the palm of her left hand from her fight with the person who opened her eyes.

personality; if there's one word to describe kurami, it's mysterious. this elusive girl is almost as hard to find as she is to catch in her shadows. she is not the type to boast about strength and merely does what she does. if she wins, she wins. if she loses, she loses. she believes that losing comes from her own weakness, and there is nobody but herself to blame. due to this, kura tends to be extremely hard on herself, pushing herself to her absolute limit in order to succeed. although she may come off as cold-hearted and passive, she is gentle deep down as demonstrated to those she may become attached to. however, this is fairly rare since she tries her best to not become to close to anyone in fear of losing them or betrayal. kurami may also be sly, deceptive, and manipulative, using her younger appearance to spy in schools or her good looks to get what she wants. she is highly independent and strongly dislikes owing favors, which in her head, is equivalent to any sort of help or assistance. she will immediately put all her efforts into she feels that she has repaid her debt. overall, an initial impression of kurami would revolve around her enigmatic characters, but once someone gets to know her, they'll find that she is a reliable ally to have.

backstory; born into a family of a powerful businessman of the underground world, kurami competed with several other half-siblings for so much as a glance from her father. her father tended to be unfaithful to his wife, who birthed the family heir, and kura was one of the several other illegitimate children of the rikimaru household. until she developed the ability to manipulate shadows at age ten, first discovered when she shied away into the shadows from her older brother mocking her, kura had lived a lonely life of tutors and a routine lifestyle without a mother figure. once her father learned of her ability, he saw her as a tool to strengthen his rule of the underground society and sent her through rigorous training through an institution where several other children with manifestations in japan were. there, she grew up learning how to fight and developed a high obedience for the power hierarchy she witnessed on a daily basis in duels. one fight, though, changed her forever. she lost it, which was shocking to others in the academy, and her opponent, a newcomer from someplace else, asked her why she'd been around for so long. what was she doing with her life? something clicked for kurami in that moment, and she escaped the institution and her father's influence over her. they should've kept better watch on someone like her, able to slip in and out of darkness. currently, she aids her strength wherever she feels needs it and actively searches for the person who helped her break away from her machine-like self several years ago. unfortunately, their brief encounter left her with few memories to work off of, but she's sure when she finds them, she will know.

role; as a freelance hero, kurami is not one to stick with a certain organization for long but rather aids where she fits. she may be bribed to forge alliances since she tends to have more mercenary traits, seeking personal gain in the process of defending what she believes in. she is typically drawn to strength besides profit and (often questionable) morals. with lesser known organizations, she tests their strength by challenging them to duels. if they can defeat her, she will side with them for the time being. she fluctuates between being considered a villain and hero by society, it can be deducted by tracing her patterns that she refrains from going after the weak and will in fact protect them.

To Lucas Simmons, there's no such thing as good and bad. There's simply fight for your family
or don't. He's a bit of an enigma to those at DWMA. He never talks about his past and merely brushes it
off as something unimportant and uninteresting enough to share. He grew up in a small, rural town in a
household that was not related to him by blood, but they soon became much, much more important to
him than anybody else. He had his parents, two younger sisters, and a younger brother, all who showed
him the wonders of having a family and people to protect and care for. Unfortunately now, they have
been taken away from him. In order to keep them safe, Lucas is completely under the control of the
witches and fulfills the tasks they assign him with.
Lucas is a rather strange character. He is always seen wearing baggy and tattered clothing, and
he always carries a switchblade in his pocket. It takes very little to amuse him as he's more like a
child than anything else. He especially loves toy trains. These times when he is docile, though,
typically don't last long as he's prone to extreme mood swings triggered by the smallest of things. He
can quickly go from peacefully fiddling with a pencil to attempting to use said pencil to harm someo-
ne he believes is hurting his family. Lucas is also greatly moved by kind gestures to the point where
he'll sob like a baby. Those he comes to trust are immediately part of his family of sorts, and he does
his best to protect them as if to make up for the fact that he was unable to save his real family. He
frequently has nightmares which likely causes the seemingly permanent dark circles under his eyes.
This meister also has a few bad habits he's unable to drop such as nail biting and pickpocketing. It's
uncertain during his darker phases whether he's actually slipping in and out of madness, but it's known
that he's fairly susceptible to the influence of evil simply because he doesn't understand it and sees it
more as a source of strength than weakness. He is more vulnerable to slipping into madness in fights
and becomes uncontrollable. ps he's practically illiterate, and his handwriting is terrible.
As a meister, Lucas is a force to be reckoned with. He's come out of more than one near death
experience, earning him a reputation as being indestructible. It doesn't matter to him how much pain
he's in or how many hits he's taken. As long as his friends and family is at risk, he doesn't stop. In com-
bat, Lucas relies heavily on his agility, flexibility, and sharp instincts to take down opponents. He's c-
omfortable with just about any sort of weapon or even fighting by himself since he always has his swit-
chblade handy. Unless faced with a witch (he becomes practically useless before them), it's impossible
to deter him from a fight. Finding a partner is difficult for Lucas, though, as his soul is volatile and sen-
ds out occasional strong and damaging waves. He requires someone to counter his destructive nature.

demon graced with a handsome face and toned body. he has straight, raven black hair of medium length, and he
has a fringe going across the left side of his face. his eyes fluctuate between a vibrant shade of amaranth to a deeper
crimson. like most other demons, he has two forms which he may take. the first being his natural appearance where
he has pointed ears, elongated canines, and a demon tail. his second appearance is his mortal form where he acquires
a mundane look with his hair styled in a more tame fashion, and his demonic qualities missing.

despite having noble blood, kimaris has no inheritance, and therefore, must work to gain his own strength and
influence in hell. in society, he's looked down upon due to his practically worthless position. this fuels his spirit
when turning to the human world for souls. even though he is considered to be a demon with great potential in
terms of strength, he does the lowest of low jobs any demon could do, fulfilling wishes of humans in exchange
for their souls. it's a task that can either bring great profit or become laborious since not all souls are equal.
