Reaching the fresh-kill pile, he had so far found no-one to take him on a training assignment. He dropped his mouse on the pile, then sat down, looking over the camp. "I shouldn't expect them to alter their schedules for me." he said, to no-one in particular. He talked to himself a lot, and now it was just a normal thing to do.
Across the camp, he saw Splashleaf approaching. He decided to approach her; maybe he could learn something from the Warrior? That would definitely be cool. He stood up and padded over to her.
"Hey Splashleaf!" he greeted, tail twitching eagerly.

He frowned, noticing her jump. "Ah gosh, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to startle you." he said, ears flattening slightly. That had been a bad entrance. He cheered up a little when he heard her question. How had his day been going? "Well, I caught a mouse earlier today, so I'd say it was going pretty well." he answered. "How about you, did you do any fun Warrior stuff?" he asked, curious. The duties of a Warrior interested him to no end, and he wished with all his heart that he could take part in them already.

Splashleaf smiled, "That's great! As for me, I'm really tired from sitting at vigil all night, but I can pull through." she answered, her feathery tail flicking slightly. She saw the excitement in the apprentice's eyes and she felt a twinge of guilt that she didn't have much to say.

The Warrior vigil? Ravenpaw almost jumped up and down in excitement. That was the coolest thing! He longed for the day that he would take his own vigil and finally become a Warrior. However, he could also see how exhausted Splashleaf was. Deciding not to keep her any longer, he said: "That's so cool! I can't wait until my own vigil." He paused briefly to smile while he thought about it. "But you must be tired, you should go take a nap or something." he offered.
