oh! thank you guys, listening to my

As tempting as it can be, I try to refrain from looking at other signatures when making my own because I like to challenge myself to be creative and see what I can come up with on my own. Who knows, you may even be starting a new trend! {Although i'm pretty sure the split gif thing with the text in the middle has been done a million times}

For LayoutsI wrote this last year or the year before in regards to signatures and all the general ideaology of how to figure out what you want a aignature to turn out like layout wise.
I am posting it below, with some corrections.
ZeyDaan wrote:There are so many ways one can improve, it depends on what you feel most comfortable with most of all. If you feel like expanding your abilities, you tend to improve time and time again.
A few key pointers to get you started:
- Need to improve on code layouts? Try doing a different layout technique. (Aka instead of left right center try left left left) or try doing 4 columns instead of three.
- Need to improve on selecting a colour scheme? Do a random one online someone premade and try and stick to it.
- Do you have trouble with determining a layout of a signature and where everything should go? Try using a simple sketch or layout so you can visualize everything. Eg below.
Past!ZeyDaan wrote:To be honest, I do layouts by drawing squares, and other shapes within the 400 x 700 perimeter given. I am going to post a screenshot of one of the PM's I had with Tadashi which has the layout guideline.

All I did was just go "green, blue, orange, purple, pink, yellow, cyan and there we go."
It's great to get a general layout idea or sketch of what you want to get going. Just lay it out there, colour code everything so you know, add additions and otherwise an you are home sweat.
I have a few coloured pieces of paper here, I cut those up and just toss it all together, random shapes and other things, take a picture and presto.
This was for my own old signature, the Big Hero 6 one which I still have.
With that said, with my signature I worked with two columns and did it without graphics included. It ended up being shorter than normal and trashier, but also fancy at the same time.
I worked on it with code from a layout I did with colours like I did above. What parts text what parts not. The tricky thing is getting it all to fit, but with some bending will and determination like you are fighting with your significant other, you tend to get it working.
I keep forgetting to ask Aaron✦ to post this at the front of the thread, I am sure it could help people.

@Rosey.
Styles for different themes are difficult. I spent a year doing SNK signatures and then suddenly was pulled out of doing those. It made it difficult because the resources I could find art wise were no longer there for the new themes I had.

Least I helped change legislation for the better. Thank you aged care workers. ❤️
