Applepaw smiled up at Faithstar, pushing the confusion away for a while. She looked back at Brackenstorm with a huge, goofy grin. The kit jumped down off of the large rock to meet her mentor.

Yearning to watch the clan meeting, Emeraldsky left Silverstrike and Leaftail with a nod, and stepped out of her den. She quietly padded into the clearing and slipped into the back of the crowd of cats to watch the rest of the ceremony she had been missing. She watched the new apprentice Applepaw, get her mentor, Brackenstorm. This made Emeraldsky think about her own apprentice. Lightningpaw had passed on moons ago; Emeraldsky needed a new apprentice to take over her rank when she passed on as well.

Brackenstorm huffed angrily at his sister, looking up at Faithstar and Applekit. He widened his eyes in alarm at the mention of his name. "Me?" he whispered, utterly flabbergasted. With a brisk nod to the clan's leader, he turned to look at his new apprentice. He leaned down to touch noses with the small she-cat. He lifted his head back up, flicking his ears. "I'll try to train you well," he murmured politely.

Applepaw gazed up at Brackenstorm with wide, proud eyes. She smiled as they touched noses before a happy squeal escaped her mouth. "You'll do awesome!" she whispered back. Young Applepaw was already ready to leave the camp. She began to pad back to her family, but just before, she turned to smile at Brackenstorm. Applepaw then raced back to Rowanlog, shoving herself in his fur.

Faithstar

Faithstar looked down at the she-cat, and purred as she ran right to her father. I'm dreading having to make Lionkit an elder, she thought. And the name Deathshade is harsh. But Nightwing is truly the only sensible guardian they have left, so I must follow by his order. If StarClan willed this not to happen, they would have contacted me by now. Faithstar sighed, looking away from the joyful interaction between a tom and his daughter, and shifted her gaze to Ivykit. "Ivykit, please step forward."

Larkwillow watched her nephew, Ivykit's, ceremony with a huge smile. it's lovely to see them growing up. I remember being so excited when they were first born. It was heartbreaking when Joykit and Thunderkit died, so I think I'll treasure these special moments even more, she thought gleefully. It's too bad I'm too young to have an apprentice. I'd love to train one of them!

Rowanlog

Rowanlog purred joyously when his daughter ran to him and pressed herself into his fur. "Congratulations, Applepaw," he whispered, leaning down to lovingly nuzzle her, finishing it off with an affectionate lick. "You and your brothers will be amazing apprentices. Even if I'm not a mentor to one of you, I'll watch your training closely and always encourage you. I'm sure your mother will do the same from StarClan." For one, Rowanlog's tone didn't become sad at the mention of his deceased former mate. It stayed happy, because he knew in his heart that Mossheart was here with him. Watching their kit's ceremonies alongside him.

Pepper

After successfully finding the plan Emeraldsky had described, Pepper had gathered three bundles of it. Probably not as many as Emeraldsky had hoped for, she thought as she carried the herb in her jaws, padding back to camp. But at least it's something. The black-furred molly entered camp, tightening her grip on the borage, and subtly sneaking behind the crow of cats. She gazed around the group of cats to see if Emeraldsky was within them, sure enough, the medicine she-cat was sitting at the back of the crowd. Pepper approached the she-cat, and dropped the herbs at her paws. "I got the borage!" she said.





Lionlight shook his head at Sunpaw. "I'm able to visit her in her dreams. And I have. I gave her the prophecy and when she was starting to get depressed, I reassured her that I'd always be with her," the ginger tom said, green eyes sparkling. "I try not to do it too often. I know it's wrong to try to have influence on the living ones' lives, so that we don't take their focus off their duties. So, I've only visited Swanfoot when she really needs to be comforted by someone who understands what she's going through. Swanfoot has been doing great since our last chat. I'm very happy for her, but that means that it's not really aloud for me to visit her. Unfortunately, I'm tempted to just visit her without a good reason. Promise you won't tell anyone?'

Flamepaw looked at the small kit who was being called to the towering-hill. Wow, how great! Not only do I not get to become a warrior, but I get to share a den with kits! Yippee! he thought with a dramatic but subtle eye roll.
