estelle--avis--devreux
"the djinn"
[age] twenty-three [ occupation ] governess [ location ] the park [ tagged ] Severin
This vampire fascinated Estelle the more he spoke the more Estelle wanted to know, history had always been an interest of Estelle's something very advantageous to a governess. He'd lived through such historic events? Many questions were about to trip their way across her tongue and yet something stopped her, the pain in his eyes earlier suddenly reflected back at her and Estelle found herself unable to ask any questions. The vampire himself kept his maroon gaze fixed on the past only occasionally glancing at her as if to reassure himself that she hadn't left him. The young djinn tilted her head slightly as the vampire began describing what it was to lose his humanity a strange concept for one who'd been a predator all her life. It was strange, to appear as human but know that you are completely different as a child Estelle had been taught to separate herself from humanity but also how to mimic it until at some point it had simply become a part of her. Estelle couldn't imagine the guilt and hardships he had to have gone through to become the cold predator that now stood before her. Mirroring her previous thanks it seemed as if this was goodbye for the pair, a thought that left Estelle feeling a pang in the hole in her heart that the young djinn thought she'd long since filled. Six years after that day and it seemed that her mothers betrayal still hurt and perhaps it always would, her memories clouding her mind Estelle took a few moments to process exactly what the vampire had just proposed. Blinking Estelle at first did not know what to say; a vampire teach her to hunt? At first glance it sounded ludicrous but at the same time Estelle could see the logic, djinn and vampire were closely related at least in ability (with few exceptions) so to learn from one would actually be rather helpful. A smile curving up her lips Estelle bowed her head "Thank you, any advice you can give is welcome." looking up Estelle felt her smile become tighter, "I'm afraid however that you're mistaken, my mother left me when I turned seventeen since then I have learned to live on my own. This year will mark the sixth that I have spent in London alone" somehow admitting her circumstances made it all the more real for the girl. Looking away Estelle willed her emotions away, they had no place here not now at least, clearing her throat Estelle seems to regain her composure "Anyways, if we are to spend more time together I'd like you to call me Estelle." she said with a soft smile, he had shared so much of his past and even offered to teach her that Estelle felt compelled to share her name with the older vampire.

Lynette Dufour ~ Ghost ~ Location; Dark Street ~ Tags; Synn
Lynn carried on walking, slowing her pace now that she was well away from the crowds that had been on the riverbank. The only sound now on the street was the light tap of her shoes on the stone path. The spirit relaxed and simply listened to the quiet, regular beat her feet were making. She let her glance stray towards the floor as she walked.
Lynette hadn't walked far when she stopped, sensing another presence in her path. The ghost raised her gaze to find a man with silver hair and samurai-like attire. "Kitsune..." She was easily able to recognise the species of this man. His form was a rare sight around London these days. "Excuse me little Spirit but I have seemed to have gotten myself lost, would you mind pointing me in the right direction?" Lynn frowned very slightly, making almost no change to her expressionless features, and drew herself up a little taller, a bit ticked at the warrior's calling her 'little'. Indeed, she was smaller and weaker than some, but it was a fact she did not like to be reminded of. The ghost processed the rest of the man's request, her unblinking gaze never leaving his. "I suppose...it wouldn't hurt to help...since it is quite rare for a Kitsune to ask for aid..." The man had been gently smiling at her this whole time, and she hadn't said anything so she decided to voice her thoughts out loud. "Yes...I can help you...." Her voice was still a whisper, but the man seemed to have heard. Her face still void of emotion she tilted her head very slightly. It wasn't as if she had anywhere else to go tonight. "Where is it...you wish to go?" She asked.

Evil Mind, Evil Sword."

~Synn~
The little spirit seemed to be lost in her own mind after I had spoken to her. She stay quite for a rather long time. As I watched her my head tilted to the side slightly, that gentle simile still plastered over my lips. She was probably thinking of how it was rare for me to ask for aid, but I was not normal. Over the years I had become more and more like this, after all I find enjoyment out of being this type of person. I stood there in silence letting the lass think things through before speaking. Finally her lips parted and words leaked from them. The voice was small, almost like a whisper but with my highly trained ears I was able to easily hear it.
Her face was void of emotion but that was something that I had seen many times before on poor spirits. After all most of those that stay behind either had a tragic death or long for something in the living. So it was never a huge surprise that spirits often had a rather emotionless features. When the young lass asked where it was that I wish to go I just stood there for a second. One of my hand came up to my kind as I started to ponder. "Well now then where was it? I know it is an upperclass place but where?" Well it actually seemed I have forgotten who it was that summoned me here. A small chuckle was given as I looked back at her. "Lets just go to the upperclass area, may remember who it is by then." The words came out care free and happily as I looked at her.

Lynette Dufour ~ Ghost ~ Location; Streets/Upperclass Area ~ Tags; Synn
Lynn made no move to react at the Kitsune's forgetfulness, patiently listening to as he finished his request. "Yes...I think I know the area you mean..." She quickly turned and started walking, intending for the traveller to follow. The route she took was not a normal one for her, since her companion wasn't capable of walking through solid objects. There was also the matter of avoiding places where she knew the detectives would frequent - although they may not look out of the ordinary, most detectives were able to sense when the supernatural were out of place.
The majority of the journey was in silence, the ghost not really knowing how to converse with another being as she had been alone for most of her time. As they neared the area, the lights got brighter and more and more people filled the streets. Lynette flinched, though slightly as not to attract unwanted attention, and kept to the darker edges of the streets. The ghost let out a sigh. This many people made her quite uncomfortable. Still, she had made a promise to help, so she tried her best not to show her discomfort to her companion.
"I apologise if the silence...disturbs you..." She suddenly stated to the Kitsune, even surprising herself. "Being as I am...I don't really find the point in conversing..." The pair were nearing what seemed to be a crowd of carriages. "A party..." Lynn turned to face the man behind her. "Perhaps...this is where you are meant to be? It seems...to be a...high key event." She quickly stepped into the shadow of a nearby building to avoid a group of ladies, as well as to lessen the feeling of weakness she was getting from being under lamplight for longer than she was used too. "If we could...may we rest, for a while?" She asked, hoping the strain in her voice was not too noticeable. The Kitsune seemed kind, she hoped he would understand that the light wasn't too healthy for her.

☠ Severin Chevalier ☠
______________________________________________________
Time: Night Feeling: Talkative Location: The park Tagged: Estelle
"Oh, my mistake," Severin said. "I suppose I was so lost in thought I couldn't quite process the age. I hope you'll forgive it. Six years alone in London, why it's a wonder I never ran into you before, although I seldom am on this side of town." He smiled, perhaps the first honest smile of the evening. "My name's Severin," he said, "Severin Chevalier, perhaps the most unspoken name in all of London." As he talked, he shifted his gaze to the late Thomas and sighed. "Well," he said, "I suppose we had best do something with him, particularly before night nears its end. I try to hide myself away by day, unless I'm feeling particularly bold. This man seemed awfully familiar with you, so I'm certain you've met him here before. I don't know how you spend the day, but I find that confusing Scotland Yard may be one of the most interesting ways to pass time. I like to see them run around and analyze fake clues. I try to make each case unique, since all of their research and deduction is based on pattern. Although I think making my crimes look like the work of multiple killers, has certainly contributed to some panic within the community." He laughed lightly, amusing himself with the thought of so many door locks clicking just to keep him out. He found it hysterical how many locks a door could have, when he walked along the darkened streets. It was a singular obsession of the well-off, who feared the everyday chaos that plagues the lower class. After all, who else could afford a myriad of various locks for both the windows and the doors?
"Say, have you ever walked through the fancy neighborhood, the one just north of the main street?" He asked. "There's such a multitude of locks there. It's really quite a sight." Jonathan Stone

Jonathan followed Skylar out, wondering about the entirety of the situation, when Loki finally caught his eye, and he caught sight of the jewelry in his small dirty hands. Jonathan sighed, putting a palm to his face. "What is a little ruffian like you doing here?" he asked, with a lapse in his usual polite manner. "Give her the earring and scurry off. This is not your place. I wouldn't like for you to get chased off by some other party guests, so I suppose I have to do it myself." As he gazed at Loki, he became aware of the boy's odd amber eyes that shone like that of an animal. For a second, he was entranced, before he shook his head lightly, in an effort to regain his composure. He straightened his spine, making himself appear much taller in front of the young Loki, and looked down at him in disbelief. "I'm not surprised that you would have taken such a thing," he said. "I'm sure you're desperate for some source of income."
After his series of cruel comments, Jonathan felt a pang of guilt. "Tell you what," he said, "I'll offer to clean you up and bring you something to eat, just give her the earring. You probably act this way due to circumstance. Have you any parents, or at least any proper ones?"

"the djinn"

Smiling kindly Estelle didn't feel the need to press the matter of their misunderstanding any further, her abandonment was not something Estelle wished to speak of with anyone. His suggestion that it was strange that they hadn't met before struck Estelle, perhaps this vampire had been stalking the streets of London for far longer than she'd originally thought. The second thing to strike Estelle was the smile that spread across the vamp-Severin's face, out of all the smiles he'd given her that night this seemed to be the most honest of them all. Feeling a similar smile reaching her own lips in response "Well, it is a truly a pleasure to make your acquaintance Severin Chevalier." she said bowing her head. Following Severin's gaze back to poor Thomas Estelle bit her lip in thought what he said was true, the papers had reported multiple homicides and though the modus operandi had been different the types of victims had been all the same; rich young ladies of good standing and from Estelle's experience naive and more often than not spoiled. To anyone with the knowledge of the supernatural it was obvious that vampires were responsible however to think it was the same was something even Estelle hadn't considered. Looking at her own kill Estelle sighed "I often attempt to make my kills look like suicide, this time however I'm ashamed to say that my thirst got the best of me." she said brushing a stray hair from Thomas's face. However perhaps there was something she could do, taking a small knife from her boot Estelle approached the lifeless body and made several plunges into the already present wound hiding any evidence of it. After wiping the handle with a handkerchief Estelle dropped the small blade into the bushes behind the benches. With her false evidence placed Estelle looked back at Severin as he offered to give her a tour of the fancy neighbourhood near main street. Smiling Estelle shook her head "I have been through once or twice but only as part of my job, I never really took the time to appreciate it" she replied taking a few steps toward Severin she offered her hand,"please lead on." she added, it was time to move on if Thomas was discovered with them there it could spell all sorts of trouble.
